Perry Caught in a Bluff

In heads up action, Ralph Perry and Jeppe Nielsen checked the flop and turn on a board of {J-Hearts} {7-Clubs} {4-Clubs} {A-Diamonds}.

The {10-Diamonds} hit on the river and Perry bet out 50,000 from the small blind. Neilsen moved all in for only 14,000 more and Perry mucked his hand.

Ralph Perry - 130,000
Jeppe Nielsen - 190,000

David "Devilfish" Ulliott Eliminated in 16th Place ($18,732)

David Ulliott - 16th Place
Can anything stem the tide of eliminations? We have to admit that since we're not being paid hourly, we hope not.

David Ulliott joined the ranks of the departed a few minutes ago. He re-raised all in for 70,000 from the button after Sorel Mizzi opened the cutoff to 21,000. Mizzi was the only caller; he showed down {A-Diamonds} {10-Diamonds} {10-Clubs} {4-Diamonds}. Ulliott opened {A-Hearts} {K-Hearts} {10-Spades} {8-Diamonds}, a fine hand if he could have connected with the board. He could not. The board came nine-high with no hearts and that was the end of Mr. Ulliott's day.

Thankfully, he didn't get back on the mic to sing any more songs.

Van Marcus Doubles Through Ralph Perry

Van Marcus
Van Marcus
From middle position, Ralph Perry raised to 35,000 and Van Marcus made it 125,000 to go from behind. Perry called.

The flop came {J-Clubs} {9-Spades} {3-Clubs} and Perry bet enough to put Van Marcus all in. He called for his last 96,000.

Van Marcus: {A-Spades} {A-Hearts} {9-Hearts} {2-Diamonds}
Perry: {A-Diamonds} {K-Spades} {10-Diamonds} {3-Spades}

The board ran out {J-Clubs} {9-Spades} {3-Clubs} {4-Hearts} {9-Diamonds}, giving Van Marcus trip nines and the pot.

Van Marcus - 460,000
Ralph Perry - 266,000

Clayton Newman Eliminated in 17th Place ($18,732)

Clayton Newman - 17th Place
Clayton Newman - 17th Place
We barely got back over to the table in time to catch the next elimination. Clayton Newman was all in preflop with {A-Clubs} {K-Diamonds} {4-Clubs} {3-Diamonds} against Rifat Palevic's {A-Hearts} {K-Spades} {Q-Clubs} {5-Hearts}. Given the stretch vortex of eliminations we find ourselves in, you know that the board rolled out {Q-Diamonds} {6-Spades} {3-Hearts} {A-Diamonds} {J-Hearts} to make two pair for Palevic, aces and queens.

Newman leaves with $18,732 and just like that, we are down to 16 players!

John Kabbaj Eliminated in 18th Place ($18,732)

We're having trouble keeping pace with the eliminations. We're not sure what happened other than to say the dam broke about half an hour ago. John Kabbaj is the latest victim caught in the flood.

Kabbaj opened for 28,000 preflop, then called all in after big blind Felipe Ramos reraised to 100,000. Kabbaj showed down {A-Hearts} {Q-Hearts} {Q-Clubs} {6-Spades} against Ramos' {A-Spades} {k-Hearts} {j-Hearts} {J-Diamonds}, but it was Ramos who flopped the best hand, {K-Diamonds} {8-Clubs} {K-Clubs} for trip kings. The board bricked out babies to send Kabbaj to the rail.

Fabrice Soulier Eliminated in 21st Place ($14,433)

Fabrice Soulier - 21st Place
Fabrice Soulier - 21st Place
Fabrice Soulier made a final table earlier this week in the $1,500 H.O.R.S.E. event. He wasn't able to duplicate that feat today.

With the board already showing {2-Clubs} {2-Hearts} {7-Diamonds} {4-Spades}, Peter Jetten bet 45,000. That was more than Soulier had left; he called all-in and showed {A-Clubs} {7-Clubs} {3-?} {3-?}. Jetten showed flopped three deuces, {J-Clubs} {Q-Diamonds} {10-Clubs} {2-Spades}, leaving Soulier drawing thin. He bricked the river and made his way out of the Amazon Room, but not before telling us, "I just didn't believe him."
