Grondin Takes a Small Pot

Ken Lennaard limped from the small blind and Laurence Grondin checked her option, taking us to a flop of {A-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{9-Spades}. Both players checked, and checked again when the {9-Diamonds} hit the turn.

Lennaard checked the {6-Clubs} on the river, and Grondin bet 125,000. When Lennaard folded, she showed {9-Clubs}{5-Spades} for trips.

Lennaard Takes One on the River

Laurence Grondin raised to 115,000 from the button and got called by both blinds.

Everyone checked through the turn on a board of {A-Spades}{9-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{J-Spades} and action checked to Lennaard on the river who bet 200,000 at the {Q-Spades}. When his opponents folded, he took the hand.

Grondin: {3-Clubs}{3-Spades}

The board finished with the {7-Spades} and {Q-Spades}, letting Lennaard double up to 2,850,000 while Grondin became the short stack with 1,650,000.

Smith Increases His Lead

Laurence Grondin made it 125,000 to go from the small blind and Jordan Smith called from the big.

Both players checked the flop of {8-Spades}{K-Clubs}{8-Hearts}, and Grondin then check-called for 150,000 when the {9-Hearts} hit the turn. Grondin checked the {2-Diamonds} on the river and folded when Smith bet 350,000.

He now has 5,500,000 while Grondin has 3,800,000.
