How To Reclaim Your Buy-in Back. Part I

Over in the Miranda room, one player bet another player 10 to 1 on throwing an empty bottle of water into a small trash can around 25 feet away. He bet $10 and managed to just come off the edge, getting pretty darn close.

Still this means one player has managed to reclaim 1% of his buy-in back already, just the other 99% or so to go...

Hevad Khan has just been busted in unfortunate circumstances. Short stacked, he got it all in with {Q-Hearts}

against an opponent's {A-Spades}

.

So to be fair he was behind pre flop but when the flop comes {Q-?}

x you got to be pretty relaxed about a double-up. Not to be as the turn and river came {A-?}

to make a higher two pair across the table.

WPT Grand Final winner Yevgeniy Timoshenko is not going too great so far, he's got just 2,400.

Soren Kongsgaard, playing his very US WSOP event, is doing a little better on around 4,000.

The Miranda room is busting players fairly quickly though, around one third from there have been eliminated.

Shannon Shorr was down to his last 550 and put it all across the line when folded around to him in the cut off. He was called by a player with {A-?}

and knew just how bad a shape he was in with his {A-?}

. The board changed nothing and Shorr is gone.

and couldn't improve on the turn or river.

That's the way these cards fall sometimes.

Two interesting hands just went down. I was drawn to both by the "Oohs" and "Ahhs" coming from the respective tables.

The first situation saw two players get it all in on the flop with two spades. One player had a gutshot straight flush draw and the other the nut flush draw. They both made flushes on the river but I bet you can guess which player won the hand.

The second hand saw two players get it in with aces versus queens before the board came {K-?}

. The all in player thought he was safe when he spiked a queen on the turn but the re-suck two outer came on the river!

You got to love and hate this game.
