Jacked Up

Jack Powell moved up to about 280,000 after a short stack pushed preflop and another stack moved in behind. Powell moved in with {J-?} {J-?}, admitting afterwards, "I didn't really want to call."

He was up against {A-?} {Q-?} and probably felt quite relieved when he flopped quads!

After he told me this story, he raised the next hand from the cutoff to 18,000, only for the cutoff to push for an additional 35,000.

Powell made the call with {Q-Clubs} {J-Clubs} and saw he was against a dominating {A-Clubs} {Q-Diamonds}. The board came{Q-Diamonds} {3-Clubs} {K-Diamonds} {K-Clubs} {10-Diamonds} and Powell was knocked down to 240,000.

Oh Mandy

Amanda Baker is up to 460,000 now. She just knocked a player out holding {A-Spades} {3-Diamonds} to his {4-Spades} {6-Spades}. She bet on a {4-?} {8-?} {K-?}. I'm not sure if there was any chips in the side pot, but she spiked an ace on the river anyhow to knock her neighbor out.

New Chip Leader

Danny Fuhs is our new chip leader on 865,000.

There was an early position raise before a short stack moved all in for 87,000. Fuhs cold called but the EP folded. Fuhs turned up {J-?} {J-?} and was facing {A-?} {10-?}.

The board ran {Q-?} {J-?} {9-?} {9-?} {2-?}. All in player out and Fuhs sitting at the top of the pile.

Fading The Draw..

Jack Powell is up to 400,000. He flat-called a raise with {K-Diamonds} {K-?} and raised all-in on a {8-Diamonds} {7-Diamonds} {6-Diamonds} board, his shorter stacked opponent calling with {A-Diamonds} {4-?} for a flush draw, gutshot and one overcard. The latter missed all of them and the lone Englishman left in the field almost doubled up as a result.
