Who Is Barbara Enright?

The first woman of poker
The first woman of poker
Barbara Enright has had the respect from the poker community for years - and by all means she has earned it!

Enright is the only female to have made the Final Table of the WSOP Main Event when she finished in fifth place behind Dan Harrington in 1995.

She also holds three bracelets; two in women Seven-Card Stud tournaments and one in an open Pot Limit Holdem tournament in 1996.

With over $1,200,000 in prizemoney and twelve WSOP cashes, Enright deservedly was inducted into the Poker Hall of Fame in 2006 along with Phil Hellmuth.

Currently still in the tournament with a short-stack of 45,000, Enright will be looking to add bracelet number four to her impressive poker CV.

S-S-Speedy Gonzalez!

"Oh no . . . oh yeah! Ship it! I told you! Ship it!" screamed Adolfo 'Speedy' Gonzalez as he went bouncing from his table to running round in circles to hugging some curious onlookers.

Our PokerNews reporter quickly ran over to check out what had happened, and saw that Gonzalez was all in preflop holding {Q-Spades}{Q-Clubs} to his opponents {A-Diamonds}{k-Spades}.

The flop of {K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} brought about the Gonzalez despair, but when the {Q-Hearts} fell on the river after seeing the {2-Spades} on the turn it sent Gonzalez into his excited dash around the Amazon room.

With everyone turning round and laughing at the level of excitement Gonzalez had reached, the Tournament Director wondered over and issued an Excessive Celebration penalty.

Oh, and it wasn't obvious, Gonzalez is one of a handful of chip leaders with 195,000 in chips.

Delatorre Delight

Dan Delatorre called an early position all in from the big blind and tabled {A-Spades}{Q-Diamonds} to be ahead of his opponents {A-Clubs}{J-Clubs}.

The board ran out {2-Spades}{4-Clubs}{5-Spades}{10-Spades}{J-Spades} to see Delatorre dispatch of another opponent as he soars to an impressive 470,000 in chips.

All Green For William

William Green pushed all in under the gun and found action from the player on the button.

Green: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}
Opponent: {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}

In bad shape to stay alive in the tournament, Green would see the {K-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{A-Spades}{5-Diamonds} board drop and a double up to 103,000 follow.

Color-Up Time

While the break took place, the Tournament Director's and Officials took care of the color-up taking off the black 100-denomination chips.
