We're On The Bubble!

276 players remain with only the top 270 players receiving money.

We aren't hand for hand yet, but the players are tightening up as we count down to that elusive WSOP cash!

Tuffing On Top

David Tuffing has just seized this tournament by the scruff of the neck and surged to over 100,000 chips and the chip lead.

Most recently when holding {10-Clubs}{10-Spades} he managed to flop a set in a three-way pot when the flop fell down {K-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}.

He managed to receive most of his chips from a player holding {A-Hearts}{k-Clubs} and due to that, is now cruising through the tournament as we creep in on the money.

Player Profile: Jack McClelland

Some of you may actually not know Jack McClelland; but there is a long story behind this Ohio native.

McClelland has always had an interest in poker, but it wasn't until the 1980's when he saw how poorly some tournaments were run that he decided to be proactive and take steps forward to change that.

In 1984, McClelland took a job at the World Series of Poker as a Tournament Director and remained loyal until 1989.

From there he travelled the country working tournament to tournament after his reputation flourished throughout the poker community.

Finally McClelland would settle in Las Vegas and still work as a Tournament Director to this day at a local casino.

With two previous WSOP cashes back in 1988 and 2000, McClelland will be hoping to add another here, and maybe even a shiny gold bracelet to his collection.

Just Quads

Arlan Levitan was dealt {9-Spades}{9-Hearts} in the big blind, and when a player pushed all in from the button he was put top a tough decision.

He mulled over it for nearly two minutes before making the call to be in great shape against {K-Spades}{3-Hearts}.

When the flop fell down {9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{3-Clubs} it was a call worth it as he sent his opponent to the rail while flopping one of the biggest hands in poker - Quads!

Yama-chik-chik Boom

On the flop of {5-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{9-Clubs} Jerry Yamachika led out for 3,500 with Kevin Parmley making the call.

The turn of the {j-Diamonds} went check-check and when the river landed the {10-Spades} Parmley bet out 4,000. Yamachika pushed all in for 22,400 total and after a long time in the tank, Parley folded flashing the {10-Hearts}.

As Yamachika raked in the pot, he tabled his {K-Clubs}{Q-Clubs} for a missed straight-flush but a made King-high straight as he climbed to 62,000 in chips.

Meehan Can't Muster Steal

Laying down the law . . . The Jim Meehan story!
Laying down the law . . . The Jim Meehan story!
'Minneapolis' Jim Meehan opened with a raise from the cutoff to 2,800 before being reraised by his opponent to 7,300 total.

Meehan sat there in the tank for near on four minutes, with his trademark unlit cigarette hanging from his both before eventually folding.

It seems like Meehan can't cut it with this crew as he slowly stood up and went for a walk.
