Lavallee Out-Flopped, Out the Door

In a battle of the blinds Jason Lavallee was all in before the flop for about 70,000 from the small blind. Bobby Firestone was in the big blind with the covering stack, putting his opponent to the test. He showed {A-Diamonds} {7-Spades}, and Lavallee was looking for a big double up with {9-Spades} {9-Diamonds}.

The flop stripped him of any of those doubling delusions though as it came out {8-Spades} {7-Diamonds} {7-Clubs} to give Firestone the unlikely trips. The turn {J-Diamonds} added four more outs to Lavallee's straight, but the {5-Hearts} on the river was a blank.

Bobby Firestone has taken out Jason Lavallee, chipping his way up to 170,000.

The Comeback Begins

Chino Rheem came into Day 2 in 85th position out of 85 players, but he wasted no time getting himself out of the doldrums.

Looking down at {A-Diamonds} {10-Diamonds} under the gun, Chino moved his last 11,800 chips into the pot. Next to him, "CrazyMarco" Johnson made the call with {A-Spades} {9-Clubs}, and the rest of the table folded around.

The board came out blanks: {5-Hearts} {2-Diamonds} {7-Hearts} {7-Clubs} {6-Hearts}. With his ace-ten kicker, Chino has pulled a double, dropping Johnson down to just 9,500.
