Jacob's Ladder

Under the gun, Alex Jacob came in with a raise to 20,000. Action passed around to the small blind who came in as the only caller.

Heads up then, the flop came down {9-Diamonds} {10-Hearts} {7-Diamonds}. After a check, Jacob continued out with 25,000 more chips. His opponent put in a check-raise to 100,000, and Jacob moved all in for 200,500. With Jacob having him slightly covered, the opponent called all in to put himself at risk of elimination.

Showdown
Jacob: {8-Diamonds} {4-Diamonds}
Opponent: {J-Hearts} {J-Clubs}

The jacks were in the lead, but Jacob had a monster draw to try and catch up. The {10-Diamonds} on the turn was one of his out cards as he improved to the flush and left his opponent drawing only to the four-out full house. The river {K-Spades} was a blank though, and pocket jacks go broke.

Jacob is quite healthy now with 460,000 chips to play with.
