Kitai KO'd

On a flop of {9-Clubs} {10-Diamonds} {Q-Spades}, Rick Brabino led out with a bet of 3,000, and both Davidi Kitai and Brad Garrett made the call.

Fourth street brought the {2-Spades}, and Brabino fired again. Kitai moved all in for his last 10,200, Garrett folded, and Brabino made the call to put Koskas at risk.

Showdown
Kitai: {Q-Clubs} {10-Clubs}
Brabino: {A-Spades} {A-Diamonds}

Kitai was in good shape for a double after flopping two pair, putting Brabino's aces in trouble. Unfortunately for Kitai though, an untimely {9-Hearts} on the river counterfeited his hand and gave Brabino the win and the knockout with aces up.

Parental Support

Perry Friedman's in the Orange Section today, sitting at Table 76. His parents have been following him on PokerNews throughout the duration of the World Series, but today they don't need to follow him on PokerNews -- they can follow him in person. Friedman's parents are in the room, here in support of their son as he begins the long and arduous quest of trying to win the 2009 World Series of Poker Main Event.

It's always nice to have people on the rail who've got your back.

Frangos Takes a Small Hit

Nick Frangos opened the pot from late potisiton to 325. Both the button and the big blind called.

The flop came {9-Diamonds} {6-Spades} {3-Hearts} and after the big blind checked, Frangos led out for 1,025. The button called and the big blind got out of the way.

The turn brought the {8-Spades} and Frangos repeated his flop bet, putting out 1,025. The button called again.

The river paired the board with the {9-Spades} . Frangos checked it over to the button who bet 2,500. Frangos folded his hand and the button took it down.

Nick Frangos - 18,000.

Tony G. Takes Another Pot

Tony G.
Tony G.
Tony G. raised to 250 from middle position and got called by the button before C.K. Hua raised to 950 from the small blind. Tony and the button both called.

Hua then bet 1,300 on a flop of {10-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{6-Clubs} and Tony raised to 4,250. The button folded and Hua called. The {5-Spades} on the river brought a check-fold from Hua after Tony bet 11,000. He now has 63,500 while Hua has 36,250.

Break It Up

We've reached the end of one full level of play, and the players are taking their first break of the day. Action will resume in 20 minutes.

Bracelet Time

We'll be a bit delayed in returning to action as the room is pausing for the final bracelet ceremony of the WSOP. David Bach will finally be receiving his new piece of jewelry for taking down the $50,000 H.O.R.S.E World Championship a few days ago, and he'll be alongside three other bracelet winners who've yet to collect their hardware. Alex Bolotin, winner of the 2009 Ante Up for Africa event is also being recognized.

Play Resumes

Twenty minutes is a pretty short time for more than 1,000 players to take a break. Fortunately, the ceremony gave them some extra time, and most of them are back in their seats. With the National Anthem concluded, the cards are in the air one again.

Table Change

There was an open seat at Brad Garrett's table, and it was a long time before they found a player to fill it. You can imagine the look on the players' faces then when Jason Alexander came wandering over with his chip rack after the break. Taking his seat to the left of the dealer, Alexander has now become part of what is easily the funniest table in the room.

Danzer Bows Out

Just before the break, George Danzer was finally put out of his misery. After a raise from Thayer Rasmussen and two calls, Danzer moved all in for his last 6,200 chips. Rasmussen quickly called as the others folded away. Danzer was in bad shape with {J-Diamonds} {J-Hearts} against his opponent's {K-Clubs} {K-Hearts}.

The board ran dry for the all-in player too, coming {10-Hearts} {5-Diamonds} {4-Spades} {Q-Diamonds} {8-Clubs}. After sliding for two full hours, George Danzer has been relieved of the rest of his chips, and his WSOP is done.
