Spending Warm Somer Days Indoors

Jason Somerville called a preflop raise to 1,025, and then bet 850 when the original raiser checked to him on the {8-Spades} {7-Diamonds} {4-Hearts} flop.

Both players checked the {4-Diamonds} turn, and Mr. Original Raiser check-called a teeny tiny 525 from Somerville on the {9-Clubs} river. Somerville's {7-Spades} {6-Spades} was good against Mr. Raiser's {A-Spades} {K-Diamonds}, and he's up to 36,000.

OMGClayAiken!

With 14,000 in the pot, the board read {6-Diamonds} {9-Spades} {2-Spades} {9-Hearts} {4-Spades}, Shannon Shorr bet 17,000, which was enough to put his opponent Phil Galfond all in. Galfond would go into the tank for four minutes before making the call. Shorr tabled {Q-Clubs} {9-Diamonds} for three nines, "Nice hand" said Galfond as he tapped the table and made a graceful exit.

On another table we found Jeff Madsen all in on a flop of {9-Diamonds} {7-Diamonds} {8-Hearts} . Madsen held {Q-Hearts} {J-Hearts} and was well behind his opponent's {A-Spades} {A-Diamonds} . The turn and river would fall {8-Spades} {5-Spades} sending Madsen to the rail.

Wayans Heading in Right Direction

Marlon Wayans called a preflop raise to 800 from a player under the gun, before checking the flop of {7-Clubs}{A-Hearts}{6-Spades}. The UTG player checked behind.

The turn was the {Q-Spades} and Wayans fired 1,500. His opponent quickly called and the {J-Hearts} hit the river. Wayans fired an identical 1,500 and again was met with a call.

Wayans tabled {A-Clubs}{6-Clubs} for two pair to take it down.

Dwan-tastic

With around 3,000 in the pot on the {7-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{A-Spades} board, Tom 'durrrr' Dwan fired out 1,850 when it was checked to him by three players.

One player in the small blind made it 3,700 to go, and once it was folded to Dwan, he made the call.

The turn landed the {3-Spades} and when faced with a 4,000-chip bet, Dwan pushed the action to 25,000 total. His opponent moved all in and Dwan double-fist-pump-snap called.

Dwan: {6-Spades}{5-Spades}
Opponent: {A-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}

With Dwan holding the nut-straight with a flush-draw, the meaningless {A-Hearts} would land on the river to see Dwan shipped the pot to move to 71,000 as his opponent took a long walk home.

Jett Suffers Engine Failure

Chip Jett raised to 1,025 preflop and the big blind made the call.

Both players checked the {5-Spades} {2-Diamonds} {9-Hearts} flop before the big blind lead out for 1,000 on the {5-Clubs} turn.

Jett made the call and they then both checked the {4-Spades} river. Jett showing {A-Hearts} {Q-Hearts} but no good again the big blind's {J-?} {J-?}

More Jack Link's

"Ship me my beef jerky!" yelled out a player from one of the tables in the orange section. Mike Johnson just showed his quad jacks on a board of {A-Clubs} {J-Spades} {3-Diamonds} {J-Diamonds}. His {J-Hearts} {J-Clubs} was good enough to earn him the pot and the $100 gift package from Jack Link's.

River Check-Raise Turns Sour For Gerasimova

An early position player raised to 750 before Lika Gerasimova made it 2,250 to go from late position. The cutoff player called as the EP player stepped aside.

The flop fell {A-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{5-Spades} and Gerasimova fired 2,700. Her bet found a call.

The turn was the {3-Clubs} and both players checked to see the {8-Diamonds} fall on the river. Gerasimova checked, her opponent bet 5,125 and Gerasimova then announced a raise to make it 14,500 to go. Her opponent then announced that he was all in. Gerasimova only had 16,000 behind but decided to give it up.

Big Pimpin'

Nicolas Levi - Sans Hat
Nicolas Levi - Sans Hat
Nicolas 'Hatpimp' Levi is one of the early chip leaders having already breached the 100,000 mark.

A regular on the EPT circuit, Levi had just folded in an interesting hand just now. He had raised to 800 and been called by a player in middle position before the button reraised to 3,300. Levi called but then the middle position player decided to reraise to 10,500.

The button quickly folded and Levi folded afterwards after some thought.
