Checked to Benyamine who then bet 2,400; his opponent called. The turn brought the {10-Spades} and again his opponent chose to check call a bet of 5,000 from Benyamine. The river was the {9-Hearts} and both players checked.

Opponent: {8-Hearts} {8-Spades}

Intense Clark Wins Pot

We strolled by the bottom end of the Amazon Room to find 15,000 in the pot already, the board reading {3-Diamonds} {8-Clubs} {3-Clubs} {5-Spades} {10-Diamonds}, and Adam Clark all in for 22,000, chewing gum and looking very intense. After some time, his opponent folded. Clark just shook his head, and his hands shook just the tiniest bit as he raked in the chips. He's up to around 37,000.

Trips for Tony

After a flop of {6-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}, Tony Hachem checked, his opponent bet 500, and Hachem called. The turn was the {7-Spades}, and both players checked.

The river was the {10-Spades}. Hachem bet 1,200, his opponent raised to 5,000, and Hachem instantly called, turning over {6-Hearts}{6-Clubs} for a set of sixes. His opponent mucked, but Hachem asked "Can I have a look?" As was his right. The dealer turned over his opponent's {A-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}.

Hachem is up to 59,000.

Esfandiari Clipped

Antonio Esfandiari
Antonio Esfandiari
Catching the action on the turn with the board reading {A-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} Antonio Esfandiari called a 6,300-chip bet from his opponent.

When the river landed the {5-Hearts}, his opponent checked, opening the door up to Esfandiari to fire 15,025 at the pot.

His opponent sat in the tank for near on four minutes before making the call.

Esfandiari tapped the table and said "nice hand, I missed" and tabled his {K-Clubs}{7-Clubs} for a busted straight and flush-draw. His opponent proudly tabled his {A-Spades}{10-Spades} to take the pot as Esfandiari slipped to 41,200 in chips.

Schlein Runs Into Kings

On a board reading {Q-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{2-Hearts}, the player in the small blind fired out 6,700 and Josh Schlein made the call before the {3-Spades} fell on the river.

The small blind then moved all in for 14,175 to send Schlein into the tank. He eventually committed to a call with his {A-Hearts}{Q-Spades} but the small blind player revealed {K-Spades}{K-Hearts} for an overpair which was good to collect the pot. Schlein is down to just 9,800.

I've Got the Cour-Nuts

OK, he didn't, but [Removed:133] is running thoroughly well and is currently sitting on 110,000.

Most recently he raised preflop and then called a reraise, with the merest hint of a raised eyebrow.

He and his opponent went on to cagily check down the {10-Diamonds} {9-Clubs} {A-Diamonds} {Q-Hearts} {5-Spades} board, before Cournut turned over pocket jacks. His opponent mucked, and Cournut added another few chips to his commanding stack.

Spee Loses With Queens

Arnold Spee was all in with an opponent on a flop of {8-Clubs} {7-Clubs} {5-Diamonds} holding an overpair in {Q-Spades} {Q-Clubs}. Unfortunately for him, his opponent held a little better {K-Spades} {K-Clubs}. The turn was the {9-Spades} and the river was the {3-Hearts}.

Spee dropped to 14,500 after shipping over the 15,600 chips from the all-in bet.

The Tominating House

With the board reading {7-Diamonds} {5-Spades} {A-Diamonds} {8-Spades} {7-Clubs}, a player raised all in over the top of Phil Tom's river bet. Tom made the call and his opponent showed {8-Hearts} {7-Hearts}.

Tom studied the board for a couple of seconds before saying, "Nice hand," then flipping {8-Diamonds} {8-Clubs} for the bigger house.

"Wow, sick slowroll" commented another player at the table while Tom raked in a huge 80,000 pot.

Arieh Remains Disciplined

With a call, then a raise and a cold call in front of him, Josh Arieh decided a squeeze was in order to pick up the dead money in the pot. He made it 4,200 to go and got one fold before the original aggressor decided to re-raise once again and moved all in for an additional 11,500.

Another fold and the action was back with Arieh. With around 85,000 chips in front of him, Arieh considered gambling but made a disciplined fold, flashing {A-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}.
