Chainsaw Chopped Up in Multi-Way Pot

Allen "Chainsaw" Kessler raised to 4,200 from early position and got called in two places before the small blind reraised all in for 15,200. Everyone made the call and we saw a flop of {J-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{5-Spades}.

Action checked to the button, who moved all in for his last 22,700. Kessler and the other remaining player each called before checking down the final two cards, which came {3-Clubs},{3-Diamonds}.

When the cards were shown, Kessler held {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Spades} while the small blind held {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds} and the button held {A-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}. When the last player mucked, the button won the hand and Kessler fell back to 54,000.

Valerie Ross Eliminated

Valerie Ross
Valerie Ross
Valerie Ross saw the last of her chips go into the middle on a {8-Spades}{5-Hearts}{7-Spades} flop.

Ross was trailing with {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs} to her opponent's {Q-Spades}{Q-Clubs}, and when the turn and river landed the {k-Spades} and {4-Clubs}, Ross headed to the rail.

Are the Clocks Broken in the Brasilia Room?

Everyone on Table 162 in the Brasilia Room is owed twelve minutes of their lives back from Dan Bilzarian. Bilzarian started the day among the chip leaders and found himself embroiled in a huge pot. With the board showing {K-Hearts} {5-Diamonds} {A-Spades} {6-Clubs} {2-Diamonds} and 175,000 chips in the pot, Bilzarian was facing a river bet of 115,000 from big stack Jamie Brown.

When we came to the table, it was clear that Bilzarian had already been in the tank for several minutes. He stayed in there for twelve solid minutes. A sampling of Bilzarian's antics during his time in the tank:

"I'm trying to think of a hand I can beat. I'm not coming up with many."

"Anybody got a quarter I can flip?"

"I think it's a bad fold and a bad call."

To the dealer: "What would you do?"

"A fold would be so anti-climactic, wouldn't it?"

To Brown, who was in a fetal position with his arms in front of his face and hand on his head: "You're gonna rip that tiny hair out of your head buddy."

Bilzarian finally procured a half-dollar piece from a player at the table and flipped it.

"F***!" he exclaimed. He flipped it four more times, getting what he said were three calls and two folds.

Ten minutes into the tank session and still Bilzarian seemed no closer to a decision. Surprisingly, nobody at the table called a clock. It was finally twelve minutes after we first came to the table that Bilzarian folded.

Brown offered to show one card. The card Bilzarian chose was the {A-Hearts}.

After the hand, the counts were

Bilzarian - 360,000
Brown - 430,000

King Burt

On a board of {Q-Clubs}{7-Spades}{8-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}, the small blind led out with a bet of 4,500 before Burt Boutin made it 12,000 to go.

His opponent made the call and the {4-Spades} river was checked down.

The small blind tabled pocket nines, but Boutin flipped over pocket kings to take it down. He's now up to 207,000 chips.

Cowboys and Indians

Chris "Jesus" Ferguson, wearing his customary black cowboy hat, is presently sitting to the left of Andrew "Little Big Chip" Fields, he of the full-flowing Indian headdress. Looks a little like a John Ford picture over there.

Ferguson is sitting with about 55,000 right now, while Fields has about 85,000.

Lunkin Earns His Keep

Vitaly Lunkin made a button-raise to open the pot, and Deric Senne added another 15,000 on top. Lunkin then moved all in for a total of 49,300, and Senne made the call to put him to the test.

Showdown
Lunkin: {K-Clubs} {K-Hearts}
Senne: {A-Spades} {J-Clubs}

The board smiled on Lunkin, coming down {Q-Hearts} {5-Clubs} {8-Diamonds} {2-Diamonds} {6-Diamonds}. With his overpair holding up, Lunkin notches a big double up to just over 100,000.

A Kevin Saul Fail

The board was {K-Diamonds} {7-Clubs} {3-Spades} {4-Spades} with approximately 50,000 chips in the pot. The first player, acting out of the big blind, bet 30,000. Kevin Saul made the call. The river brought the {J-Hearts} and the big blind checked. Saul thought about his choices and then fired out 38,000. His opponent made the call.

Saul tabled {8-Clubs} {6-Spades} for complete air. The big blind showed {K-Spades} {Q-Hearts} and scooped in the pot. Saul dropped to 145,000.

Kings Double Kristy

Kristy Gazes and her opponent got their stacks in the middle before the flop, and the news was good for Gazes.

Gazes: {K-Clubs}{K-Spades}
Opponent: {Q-Spades}{Q-Hearts}

When the board came {8-Hearts}{2-Spades}{7-Hearts}{9-Spades}{3-Clubs}, Gazes' cowboys held and she doubled to 102,000.

Dawley Doubles

Jessica Dawley was all in preflop for 32,400. The player making the call held {K-Hearts} {Q-Clubs} for two overs to Dawley's pocket sevens, {7-Clubs} {7-Hearts}.

The flop came down {9-Spades} {8-Hearts} {5-Diamonds}, keeping Dawley in the lead and even adding a straight draw to her hand.

The turn brought the {8-Hearts}, adding a couple more outs for Dawley's opponent as he could now hit a nine to counterfeit Dawley's hand.

The river brought paint, but not the paint needed to eliminate Dawley -- {J-Hearts}. She now has nearly 70,000 chips.
