Seven More Hands

The clock was stopped with ten minutes left in the level, a card was drawn, and it has been determined players will play seven more hands before calling it a night.

Hinkle Knocks Out Ottsen

With the flop reading {A-Clubs} {5-Clubs} {K-Diamonds}, David Ottosen checked and Ludovic Lacay bet 27,000. Blair Hinkle made the call before Ottosen check-raised all in for about 70,000 more.

Lacay instantly folded and Hinkle laughed, "You evil man!"

Hinkle thought for a minute before making the call with {A-Diamonds} {10-Diamonds} and actually having his hand dominating Ottosen's {10-Clubs} {7-Clubs}, the {4-Diamonds} was to change nothing before the {Q-Spades} river ended the short stack's tournament.

Hinkle now is also chipped up at around 1.3 million.

An End of Day Double for Semisoshenko

Roger Goa raised to 18,000 from middle position and Maxim Semisoshenko moved all in for 135,000. Action folded back to Goa who made the call.

Goa: {9-Hearts}{9-Spades}
Semisoshenko: {J-Clubs}{J-Hearts}

The hand was over by the turn as the board ran out {A-Clubs}{2-Spades}{A-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} and Semisoshenko doubled to 280,000.

Gettler Gone

In a battle of the blinds Lance Gettler was all in preflop with {A-Spades}{Q-Diamonds} against the {K-Diamonds}{9-Spades} of John Monnette.

Gettler held the lead but the flop was a disastrous one for him as it fell {K-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{6-Hearts}. The turn was the {8-Hearts} and river the {A-Clubs}. Monnette takes it down to move up to 540,000 as Gettler is sent to the payout desk.

Schwartz Hits Another Double

Marla Schwartz's stack had slowly diminished after her lost double-up through Nick Binger. Down to 68,000, she open-shoved all in preflop. Action folded to Jimmy Tran on the button, who squeezed his cards.

"What do you want me to do?" Tran asked.

"I want you to call," Schwartz replied. "I need to double up."

Call is exactly what Tran did as he tabled {A-Clubs} {J-Spades} against Schwartz's {A-Spades} {K-Spades}. Schwartz paired kings on the flop and never looked back en route to 155,000 in chips.

Tran Runs Into a Set

Kenny Tran, now about 400,000 chips lighter
Kenny Tran, now about 400,000 chips lighter
We join a huge pot in progress at one of the far tables with the flop showing {K-Hearts} {J-Hearts} {9-Diamonds}. The betting action was unclear, but it ended with Mark Ader moving all in for 380,000 total. Kenny Tran was his opponent, and Tran would pause to consider his position carefully before making the call for half of his stack.

Ader tabled {9-Hearts} {9-Clubs}, but Tran wasn't showing just yet. He took the extra time -- another three or four minutes -- to get Ader's count, cut out the call from his stack, and push his own chips in front of Ader before turning over his {A-Diamonds} {K-Spades}, drawing slim. The {A-Clubs} on the turn was a great sweat, but the door slammed when the {5-Clubs} hit the river.

With that exchange, Ader is all the way up to 895,000, pushing Kenny Tran down to 366,000.

Lacay Counterfeited

After a flop of {10-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{6-Hearts}, Jon Eaton was all in and called by Ludovic Lacay. Eaton had {Q-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} for top pair, but Lacay had {6-Spades}{3-Spades} for bottom two.

However, the turn and river were both kings -- {K-Hearts}{K-Clubs} -- counterfeiting Lacay's hand and giving Eaton the better two pair and the pot. Eaton has 275,000, while Lacay is still up there with 1.7 million.

A Last Hand Double Up for Labbe

Peter Eastgate made it 16,000 to play and Leo Labbe pushed all in for his last 48,000. Action folded back to Eastgate who made the call.

Labbe: {K-Hearts}{K-Clubs}
Eastgate: {Q-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}

Labbe had a sweat by the turn as the board came {8-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}, but the {8-Diamonds} on the river was safe enough and Labbe will return for Day 5 with just over 100,000 chips.

Sven Survives

In one of the last hands of the night, Dennis Phillips limped, Kenny Hsiung raised to 22,000, then Sven Mol reraised all in for 122,000. Phillips folded, and Hsiung called. Afterwards, Phillips said he'd folded pocket tens.

Mol showed {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds} and Hsiung {A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}. The flop came {9-Hearts}{7-Spades}{5-Spades}, giving Mol a set and the big lead. The turn brought the {10-Diamonds}, and perhaps a little woulda-shoulda-coulda for Phillips. The river was the {J-Diamonds}, and Mol is up to 305,000. Hsiung drops to 292,000.
