We're not sure what the preflop action was in a hand between Ian Tavelli and Warren Zackey. What we do know is that on a flop of , Tavelli managed to get his last 950,000 in the middle. Hieu Luu has been very, very active at his table. It seemed like it was only a matter of time before someone else at the table decided to look him up.
It turns out that other player was Craig Boyd. With 300,000 chips in the pot, Boyd bet 95,000 on the turn of a board that showed . Luu made a large raise of that bet to 420,000. Boyd called to see the river pair queens, . He checked, prompting Luu to shove all in.
The effective bet back to Boyd was his whole stack, 993,000. He thought it over for a moment, then called with , queens and sevens.
