Adam Bilzerian Doubles Through Joel Patchell

Joel Patchell opened for 45,000 from early position and got two callers, including Adam Bilzerian in the big blind. The flop came down {6-Hearts} {5-Spades} {2-Clubs} and the action was checked to Patchell, who bet 90,000. One fold, and the action was back on Bilzerian, who raised to 245,000.

After a bit of a think, Patchell moved all in, having Bilzerian covered. Bilzerian tanked for several minutes before finally calling all in.

Bilzarian showed {5-Hearts} {4-Spades} for middle pair and a straight draw.

"I got nothing," said Patchell as he turned over {J-Spades}{9-Spades}.

The turn was the {10-Diamonds}, the river was the {K-Spades} and Bilzerian doubled up to 2.25 million.

Hinkle Can't Get it Going

Nichoel Peppe
Nichoel Peppe
Blair Hinkle raised to 42,000 first into the pot. Nichoel Peppe was the lone caller, and she came along to the flop from the big blind.

The dealer spread {J-Spades} {3-Clubs} {4-Clubs}, and Peppe checked. Hinkle bet 57,000, and Peppe made the call. The turn card came the {K-Clubs}. Peppe led out this time, firing 105,000 into the middle. Hinkle shook his head and slid his cards into the muck. He has yet to win a contested pot today, and the only time he's stacked chips has been when stealing the blinds. He's slipped back to 880,000 while Peppe just crosses back over the million-chip mark.

Bjorin, Monnette Out

A couple more eliminations to report.

First, Chris Bjorin got the last of his chips in on the turn with the board showing {J-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{2-Spades} against Jason Brice. Bjorin held {A-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts} and Brice {K-Spades}{J-Spades}. The river was the {6-Clubs}, and Bjorin was eliminated in 156th.

Next, John Monnette committed the last of his chips preflop with {J-Hearts}{J-Diamonds} only to run into Noah Boeken's {A-Clubs}{A-Spades}. The community cards came {6-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}, and Monnette is out in 155th.

Eracles Eliminated

A short-stacked Eracles Panayiotou was just all in with {4-Hearts}{4-Clubs} against Charlie Elias who held {A-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}.

The board came {3-Spades}{K-Spades}{6-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}, and Panayiotou is out. Elias now has 3.96 million.

Johnson Sent Home

Paul Johnson opened the pot with a raise to 40,000 from early position. The tabled folded around to the big blind where Tom Schneider made the call to see a flop.

Heads up, the dealer ran out the first three cards {5-Diamonds} {A-Diamonds} {9-Hearts}. Schneider checked, and Johnson continued out with a bet of 75,000. "Donkey Bomber" elected to check-raise to 275,000, and Johnson would pause for just a beat before moving all in for an additional 972,000. Schneider wasn't so quick to act as he sat statue-still staring at his opponent. Finally, he made the call with the covering stack, Johnson's tournament now in jeopardy.

Showdown
Johnson: {A-Clubs} {J-Diamonds}
Schneider: {A-Hearts} {K-Hearts}

Schneider had his foot on Johnson's throat, putting him two cards away from the exit. The turn was a blank {10-Spades}, and the {3-Clubs} on the river was no help to the all-in player. With that, Paul Johnson has made his exit from the featured table just before the first break of the day.

Palovic Won't Put Even One More Chip in the Pot

A very curious hand just developed between Marc McLaughlin and Dag Palovic. There was some preflop action that ended with Palovic raising to 125,000 from the small blind and McLaughlin calling. Palovic was first to act after a flop of {10-Spades} {8-Hearts} {5-Diamonds} and bet 125,000. McLaughlin called that bet and called another 175,000 on the {10-Diamonds} turn.

The river fell {K-Hearts}. Palovic still had first action and made the price of poker 385,000. McLaughin then moved all in for 420,000 total just 35,000 chips back to Palovic. With more than 1.65 million chips already in the pot, Palovic elected to fold rather than call the last 35,000.

Palovic is down to 940,000. McLaughlin is up to 1.7 million.
