Shou Out

Tian Shou was all in for his last 2,000 and up against three players. Two aces fell on the flop, and by the turn the opponent holding {A-Clubs}{7-Clubs} chased out the other two. Shou flipped over his {6-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}, and he was already drawing dead. Shou is out in 95th place.

Kasper Disappears

Kasper Cordes - eliminated
Kasper Cordes - eliminated
On the flop of {8-Diamonds} {5-Hearts} {2-Spades}, Kasper Cordes moved all in for approximately 600,000 and Scott Cook snap-called with top set, {8-Hearts} {8-Clubs}. Cordes held just {A-Diamonds} {K-Spades} and would need running cards for a straight.

The turn was the {K-Clubs} and that was the end of it. Cordes was drawing dead, but had to wait around for the river while the ESPN cameras set up the shot. It took about a minute and then the river was dealt the {J-Hearts}. Officially, that was the end of things and Cordes was sent to the rail.

Affleck Affluent, Shou Super Short

Matt Affleck opened by raising all in for 405,000 from the hijack seat. Then Tian Shou pushed all in as well for exactly 406,000, just a yellow (1000) chip more than Affleck. It folded to Benjamin Jensen in the big blind who made the call.

Jensen {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}
Affleck {A-Spades}{K-Clubs}
Shou {Q-Clubs}{Q-Spades}

The board came {A-Clubs}{2-Spades}{7-Hearts}{6-Spades}{J-Diamonds}, meaning Affleck won the big main pot, and Shou the teeny tiny side pot -- just 2,000.

Affleck now has 1.261 million, and Jensen 870,000. Shou will be all in on the next hand -- he only has half an ante.

Noah Boeken Eliminated

Noah Boeken
Noah Boeken
On a flop of {10-Hearts} {5-Hearts} {2-Hearts}, Noah Boeken checked, Kevin Schaffel checked, Hung Pham bet 190,000, Boeken moved all in, Schaffel folded and Pham called.

Boeken {5-Diamonds} {6-Hearts}
Pham {10-Spades} {10-Clubs}

The turn was the {8-Diamonds}, the river fell the {Q-Spades} and Boeken's Main Event came to an end with a 96th place finish.

After the hand, Pham was up to 3.25 million.

McLaughlin Can't Stop Playing Pots

Marc McLaughlin was mixed up in the thick of it again. On the river of a {8-Spades} {6-Clubs} {8-Hearts} {J-Diamonds} {9-Diamonds} board, he faced a bet of 300,000 from Jeff Duvall.

McLaughlin seemed unsure what to do. He asked the dealer to spread the pot, which looked to contain about 850,000 chips. Then he gazed across the table at Duvall.

"Do you want a call?" McLaughlin asked. There was no response from Duvall, but McLaughlin seemed to find his answer anyway. He called, then mucked when Duvall showed {A-Hearts} {A-Clubs}.

McLaughlin has slipped to 1.63 million.

Tamayo Takes One

With about 500,000 already in the middle and the board {10-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}, Prahlad Friedman checked, Jonathan Tamayo bet 500,000, and Friedman called.

Tamayo showed {7-Spades}{7-Hearts} for the flopped set, and Friedman tossed his hand dealerward -- {A-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}. Tamayo is up to 2.88 million, and Friedman falls to 670,000.

Ivey on the Move!

Before the flop, Hac Dang opened with a raise to 80,000. Halfway around the table, Phil Ivey three-bet it up to 260,000 with postition. Dang then moved all in for about 620,000, and Ivey quietly made the call to put him at risk of elimination.

Showdown
Dang: {Q-Spades} {Q-Clubs}
Ivey: {J-Clubs} {J-Hearts}

You know the rest of the story. The flop rolled out {J-Spades} {9-Spades} {4-Clubs}, drawing a huge reaction from the cheering squad assembled on the ledge. The {5-Clubs} and {7-Clubs} that filled out the board did nothing to save Dang, and he's been sent to the rail courtesy of Ivey's two-out jack. With that knockout, Phil is all the way up to 3,260,000.

Julien Brecard Eliminated

Julian Brecard
Julian Brecard
Down to only 60,000 in chips, Julien Brecard made his last stand with {A-Clubs} {9-Spades}. Both Bradley Craig and James Calderaro called and checked down the {Q-Hearts} {Q-Spades} {2-Clubs} {6-Hearts} {K-Diamonds} board.

Craig turned up {K-Hearts} {10-Diamonds} for top two pair, Calderaro mucked, and Brecard hit the rail, his 97th place finish earning him $47,003.

Margets Stomps Shou

High fives for Leo Margets after surviving her all in
High fives for Leo Margets after surviving her all in
Tian Shou opened with a raise to 90,000 from middle position, and it folded around to Leo Margets who reraised to 200,000 from the small blind. The big blind folded, then Shou shoved all in. Margets made the call, putting herself all in for a total of 868,000.

Margets showed {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs}, and Shou {A-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}. The community cards came {6-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{2-Spades}{6-Hearts}{5-Clubs}, and Margets is now up to 1.802 million, and Shou slips to 738,000.
