Here are a couple of hands involving the television producer and writer Sam Simon, best known for his involvement such shows as "The Simpsons," "Taxi," and "Cheers."

In the first, Charlie Ciresi opened with a raise to 275 from under the gun and got three callers, including Simon from middle position. The flop came {10-Hearts}

. It checked to Ciresi who bet 625, then Simon raised to 1,500, forcing all, including Ciresi, to fold. Ciresi was at 27,000 after that one, and Simon up to 31,500.
