A Modest Proposal Gives Swift Pot

Bryan Swift was just now in a potentially uncomfortable spot. An early position preflop raise from Swift attracted a couple of callers behind and two more from the blinds, meaning there were five all told who saw the flop come {J-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{7-Spades}.

It checked to Swift who proposed a half-pot sized bet in an effort to claim the rest. One by one all of his opponents dropped out, and the pot was his. Swift showed the table his {A-Spades}{A-Hearts} as he took the chips.

Swift is at about 25,500.
