Judah Bad-Beated Right Out the Door

Those massive overbets for value are great when they work out. And Mel Judah's massive overbet for value got exactly the result he wanted -- but in the end it backfired to knock him out of the Main Event. With 8,000 chips in the pot, Judah and two others checked a flop of {9-Spades} {A-Hearts} {A-Diamonds}. The turn came {6-Diamonds}. Two players checked to Judah, who moved all in for 37,000!

Judah's large bet induced one fold, but the second player called. Judah showed down a full house, {6-Hearts} {6-Spades}. His opponent just had a pocket pair, {Q-Diamonds} {Q-Hearts}. You know how the story ends. Judah's opponent catches one of his four outs with a river {A-Spades} to make a bigger full house. It was a great play by Judah that didn't wind up with the right result. He is busto.
