McMahon is McBusto

William McMahon and Scott Hamilton got all the chips in the middle preflop and it was time for another race.

Showdown
McMahon: {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}
Hamilton: {A-Hearts}{K-}

The {K-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{8-Hearts} flop was was terrible for McMahon and he couldn't find a ten on the turn ({A-Clubs}) or the river ({9-Clubs}).

McMahon is busto and Hamilton is up to 593,000 chips.

McMahon's Four Horsemen

Jeff Hakim was all in for about 75,000 before the flop with {A-Clubs} {8-Hearts}, and he was in very immediate danger of elimination at the hands of William McMahon's {K-Diamonds} {K-Spades}.

If his peril wasn't immediate enough, the flop of {K-Clubs} {2-Diamonds} {K-Hearts} made things quite clear. Quads are unbeatable on that flop, and the meaningless turn and river sent Hakim to the payout desk here in the final level of the night.

McMahon - 256,000

Newcomer Not Going Anywhere

David Newcomer was all in preflop for about 85,000, and he was put to the test by David Randall. Newcomer passed. He turned up {A-Spades} {A-Hearts}, and he was in fine shape against the {10-Spades} {J-Spades} of Randall.

The flop was awfully scary for the at-risk Newcomer as it came out {Q-Hearts} {K-Spades} {3-Diamonds} to give his opponent an open ender. If the flop was scary, the turn was just heart-stopping as the {8-Spades} gave Randall another eight outs to the spade flush.

Somehow, the river was a blank {6-Clubs}, and Newcomer fades the outs to double his way up to about 180,000. Randall has slipped to 465,000.

Race Day

Two key races just took place in the Amazon Room, one with Scott Hamilton and Jeff "YoungSupremacy" Hakim and the other with Eric "AvrilSharapova" Ladny and Alex Bolotin.

Hamilton and Hakim were all in preflop and the hands were opened:

Showdown
Hamilton: {3-Hearts}{3-Spades}
Hakim: {A-Clubs}{Q-Spades}

The board ran {5-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} and Hamilton's threes held doubling him to 445,000 chips. Hakim is left with just 83,000.

Moments later Ladny and Bolotin got all the chips in the center and it was another race.

Showdown
Ladny: {J-Spades}{J-Hearts}
Bolotin: {A-Diamonds}{K-Spades}

Again the pocket pair held after the board ran {5-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{5-Clubs}. Ladny doubled to 540,000 chips and Bolotin dropped to 270,000.

Taus Doubles Through Frey

Jason Taus and Waylon Frey got all the chips in the middle preflop and it was time for a showdown.

Showdown
Taus: {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}
Frey: {Q-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}

The flop was gold for Taus; {K-Hearts}{J-Spades}{10-Clubs}. The {J-Diamonds} turned giving Frey full house outs, but the {K-Diamonds} rivered and Taus' broadway held.

Taus doubled to 170,000 chips and Frey fell to just 70,000.
