Hoangin' Tough

John Hoang (X)(X) / {7-Clubs}{3-Spades}{3-Hearts}{9-Hearts} / (X)
Phil Hellmuth (X)(X) / {8-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{10-Spades} / (X)
Gary Benson (X)(X) / {5-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{10-Hearts}[5h / (X)

Hoang was all in on third street. Hellmuth and Benson both checked fourth. Hellmuth led out on fifth and Benson called. Check-check on sixth street. Benson bet the river and Hellmuth called.

Hoang won the high with trip threes while Hellmuth showed {A-Spades}{5-Spades}{2-Hearts} for a 8-6-5-2-A low. Benson gasped aloud and admitted that he'd misread his hand before mucking, leaving Hellmuth and Hoang to split the pot.

Hoang's comeback, however, was short-lived as he busted to Benson only a few hands later.
