Sweet Flop For Sarwer

Facing a bet of 3,500 from a player in the big blind on a {Q-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} flop, Jeff Sarwer decided to moved all in for around 11,500. His opponent made the call.

Sarwer: {K-Hearts}{Q-Spades}
Big Blind: {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds}

Sarwer was in the lead with two pair and improved to a full house on the {Q-Clubs} turn before the {5-Hearts} completed the board on the river. Sarwer is up to 25,000.

Shannon is Sticking Around For Now

Under the gun, Shannon Elizabeth open-shoved her last 2,375 chips into the pot. The table folded all the way around to the blinds where Alex Bolotin made the call to put her at risk.

Showdown
Elizabeth: {Q-Clubs} {Q-Hearts}
Bolotin: {A-Clubs} {10-Clubs}

The board ran out safe for Elizabeth: {4-Hearts} {7-Diamonds} {3-Spades} {2-Hearts} {J-Diamonds}

The ladies hold for Ms. Elizabeth, and she's doubled to a still-rather-short 5,000. Bolotin is down to 12,300.

"Now We're Playing Poker, Kid"

Phil Hellmuth opened to 500 from middle position, and Alex Bolotin called from the big blind to go heads up with The Brat.

The flop rolled out {K-Clubs} {K-Hearts} {2-Hearts}, and Bolotin knocked the table. When Hellmuth continued out with another 650 chips, Bolotin snuck in a check-raise to 1,600. Hellmuth called.

The {A-Clubs} hit fourth street, and Bolotin gave up control again with another check. Hellmuth took that as his cue to fire another 1,700 chips at the pot, and that was enough to get the job done. Bolotin mucked, and Hellmuth flashed his airball {Q-Spades} {9-Diamonds} as the dealer pushed him the pot.

"Now we're playing poker, kid," Hellmuth quipped. He's up to 11,400 now.

Hinkle Flushes Foe

In a hand involving Blair Hinkle and a single opponent, most of Hinkle's opponent's chips went into the middle on a {8-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{6-Clubs} flop. The came the {7-Clubs} turn. Hinkle's foe committed his last 1,500 and Hinkle made the call.

Hinkle showed {K-Clubs}{J-Clubs} for the club flush. His opponent showed {5-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} -- a no-good straight, and just one out left for a straight flush. The river brought the {Q-Hearts}, and another player hits the rail.

Hinkle now sits with 21,400.

It's Always Fun With Antonio

Antonio Esfandiari is up to his old tricks on one of the outer tables with a friendly game of Lodden Thinks.

The latest game saw Esfandiari and a tablemate gamble on how many bottles of water one guy could drink before he had to go to the bathroom.

A debate then broke out about whether such an experience can kill you (don't try it at home kids) before Esfandiari's opponent bought out at 20. The "Lodden Thinks" line was then revealed to be 18 and Esfandiari was down a cool hundo.

Negreanu No More

Daniel Negreanu
Daniel Negreanu

A player in middle position limped into the pot, and Daniel Negreanu moved all in for 2,575 from the hijack seat. The button reshoved all in, and that was enough to get him heads up with a chance to eliminate Negreanu.

Showdown
Negreanu: {K-Diamonds} {Q-Hearts}
Opponent: {J-Spades} {J-Hearts}

The board failed to hit Kid Poker as it came down {2-Spades} {9-Clubs} {5-Clubs} {6-Hearts} {9-Spades}, and that's the end of his day.

Nice Double, Pilgrim

A middle-position player raised to 525, finding calls from three players including Humberto Brenes and Dwyte Pilgrim.

The flop came {9-Clubs} {8-Clubs} {7-Diamonds}, and Pilgrim shoved all in for his last 3,600 chips. The raiser and Brenes folded, but the fourth player quickly called to put Pilgrim at risk.

Showdown
Pilgrim: {Q-Clubs} {10-Diamonds}
Opponent: {J-Clubs} {3-Clubs}

Pilgrim thought he was on a draw, but he actually had the best hand with two cards to come.

The turn was a blank {7-Hearts}, and so was the river {A-Diamonds}. With neither player improving, Pilgrim's queen-high is enough to double him up to about 9,500.

Here Comes Ivey

Just before the break...

We walked up to a heads-up pot while the dealer was rolling out a flop of {8-Diamonds} {9-Hearts} {9-Spades}. There was an unknown player to act, and he bet 1,200 chips at the pot. He was heads up against Phil Ivey, and Mr. Ivey quickly made the call.

The turn came the {K-Spades}, and it brought another leading bet from the unknown player -- 2,400 this time. Once more, Ivey came right along with the call.

The {7-Hearts} filled out the board, and the player moved all in for 10,500 total. Ivey quickly called with the covering stack, and his opponent showed up {10-Clubs} {6-Clubs} for the straight. It was no good; Ivey tabled {7-Spades} {7-Diamonds}, and his full house is best on that board, earning him the knockout and a chip boost up to 32,700.
