Bolotin Out

Alex Bolotin
Alex Bolotin

Alex Bolotin moved all in for his last 125,000 chips from middle position with Samuel Trickett making the call.

Bolotin: {A-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}
Trickett: {J-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}

Bolotin couldn't find an ace on the {K-Spades}{2-Clubs}{7-Spades}{3-Spades}{5-Hearts} board and was sent to the cashier. Trickett is now up to 810,000.

Frankenberger Runs Out Of Fight

With a limp from Peter Gilmore, Andrew Frankenberger decided that was a good spot to commit his last 42,000 chips. However Paul Foltyn moved all in to isolate the short stack as the table folded around.

Frankenberger: {A-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}
Foltyn: {a-Spades}{J-Spades}

The board ran out {10-Spades}{2-Hearts}{K-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} and jacks are good for Foltyn as he climbs to 395,000 and eliminates Frankenberger from the tournament.

Round 3: DeWitt vs Holz

Jason DeWitt and Lennart Holz have continued their rivalry with another big pot. We caught the action on a {Q-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{5-Spades} flop with DeWitt checking over to Holz who bet 20,000. DeWitt then check-raised to 64,000 and Holz made the call.

On the {6-Diamonds} turn DeWitt led out for 40,000 before Holz moved all in for his last 184,000 to send DeWitt into the tank. He eventually folded with {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs} for top pair, top kicker, as Holz flashed {9-Spades}{10-Spades} for nothing but a bare straight draw!

Great play by Holz as he climbs to 510,000 with DeWitt on 820,000.

Macciello Gets Lucky As Charania Gets Early Night

Matthew Schwarmann opened with a raise to 20,000 before Mohsin Charania moved all in for 131,000. Joshua Macciello then decided it might be a good idea to re-shove all in for an additional 144,000. He might've been regretting it a little when Schwarmann made the call.

Schwarmann: {A-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}
Charania: {A-Hearts}{9-Hearts}
Macciello: {J-Spades}{9-Spades}

Schwarmann had both players covered and tabled the best hand, but incredibly the board arrived {K-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} and Macciello made a remarkable backdoor straight to the disgust of both of the table and rail.

Macciello takes it down to move up to 415,000, Schwarmann slips to 250,000, while Charania heads to the exit.

Flippi Rockets Out The Door

Amnon Filippi eliminated
Amnon Filippi eliminated

Amnon Filippi has been sent to the rail after back-to-back hands went against him - that can happen when you run into pocket aces twice!

First, Filippi ran his {2-Clubs}{2-Hearts} into the {A-Clubs}{A-Diamonds} of Josh Arieh. Filippi couldn't improve and he was down to his last 93,000.

Filippi got those chips in next hand with {A-Spades}{Q-Clubs} against Antonio Esfandiari, but "The Magician" tabled {A-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}. The board ran out {9-Spades}{3-Spades}{K-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{8-Spades} and Filippi is eliminated as Esfandiari is now up over one million in chips.
