Shulman Crushed

Matt Matros raised from early position and then Jeff Shulman reraised from the small blind. Matros made the call and then the flop came down {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}. Shulman fired and Matros called.

The turn added the {3-Spades} to the board and Shulman fired again. Matros called once more before the {4-Spades} was placed down on the river. Shulman fired again and Matros shook his head. He called anyway and Shulman announced that he had pocket eights. "I can beat that," said Matros, throwing over the {K-Spades}{J-Diamonds} for a pair of kings. He moved up to 345,000 in chips while Shulman was knocked down to just 35,000.

Lee Triples After Getting Knocked Down

Duke Lee was down to his last 8,000 chips after he just doubled up Mark Gryglik the hand prior when he was all in from the small blind. He was up against two players who both checked down the action as the board ran out {K-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{9-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}. Lee flipped up pocket eights having flopped a set and improving to a full house on the river. His hand was best and we tripled up to 24,000 chips to buy himself some time.
