Negreanu Calls Allemann's Bluff

Daniel Negreanu raised to 6,000 from under the gun, and the table folded around to Swiss pro Anton Allemann who reraised to 19,000 from the big blind. Negreanu called.

Allemann stood pat, while Negreanu discarded one. Allemann then announced he was all in, sending Negreanu deep into the tank. He had a little over 30,000 left with which to play, and Allemann had him well covered. Finally Negreanu made the call.

Allemann turned over his bluff -- {J-}{4-}{4-}{3-}-X -- while Negreanu tabled {9-}{8-}{7-}{5-}{2-}. Negreanu doubles back to 107,000, almost even with Allemann who slides to 110,000.
