Chen Chipping Up, Cassidy Crippled

Yan Chen -- winner of Event No. 14, the $1,500 version of this same 2-7 Draw Lowball event -- is continuing his quest here to score an amazing follow-up.

Just now we saw a hand in which Chen opened for 6,800 from the button, then Eric Cloutier called from the small blind. Joe Cassidy then reraised to 26,000 from the big blind. Chen responded by shoving all in himself over the top, pushing Cloutier out of the hand.

Both players stood pat. Cassidy showed {10-}{6-}{5-}{4-}{3-}. Chen tabled {9-}{8-}{7-}{6-}{4-} and took the big pot.

Chen moved up to 180,000 on that, while Cassidy was knocked down to his last 4,000. Cassidy was all in the next hand and survived, but still has just 12,000.
