Seidel Draws Out on Oppenheim

2-7 Triple Draw:

Erik Seidel raised from the button and David Oppenheim three-bet from the small blind. Seidel called and drew two cards while Oppenheim rapped pat. Oppenheim bet and Seidel called. Oppenheim was pat again on the second draw while Seidel took another two cards. Oppenheim bet, Seidel raised and Oppenheim called. Both players stood pat on the river and checked it down.

Seidel turned over 8-7-5-4-2. Oppenheim showed a nine and Seidel raked in the pot. He's up to 210,000.

All You Can Eat, Baby (But How Long Will It Take to Eat It?)

Omaha 8/b:

Four players went to a raised flop, which came out {a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{7-Spades}. Greg Raymer checked, and Brian Hastings bet. Ted Forrest quickly folded, and Scotty Nguyen raised. Raymer went into the tank, removing the giant rock over his cards to check them a few times.

With the action stuck on Raymer for awhile, Amnon Filippi called over the floor to negotiate the break schedule. Between every level, the players are supposed to have a 20-minute break, and then after the third level, they're slated for a 60-minute dinner break. In past years, the highest buy-in events had at least 90-minute dinner breaks to allow the high rollers to eat in the fancy establishments they're used to (and/or to watch various sporting events or visit the pits while wagering enough money to make them feel like the $50k they spent on the event is mere pocket change.) Filippi wanted to switch to 10-minute breaks between levels in exchange for a longer dinner break. Michael Mizrachi and a few other players joined in the lobbying effort , and the floor said they'd see what they could do.

And back to the hand. Raymer finally folded, and Hastings called Nguyen's raise. Refresher for those of you who got hungry during the five-minute discussion about food and went to get a snack, flop came {a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{7-Spades}, check, Hastings bet, fold, Nguyen raised, fold, and Hastings called. On to the turn, the {J-Diamonds}. Hastings check-called a bet from the Prince of Poker. Same action on the {2-Clubs} river. Nguyen turned over {6-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{3-Clubs}. His baby flush was good for the high half of the pot and his 7-5 worked for the low half, leaving Hastings with nothing.

Daniel Negreanu Doubles Through Abe Mosseri

Razz:

Daniel Negreanu completed with a six up, Abe Mosseri raised with his six and Negreanu called. Negreanu caught a seven on fourth street for (X)(X)/{6-}{7-} while Mosseri hit an eight. The rest of Negreanu's chips went in and Mosseri called.

Negreanu made a 8-7-6-4-3 low on the river. Mosseri could only manage a T-8-6-5-3 and Negreanu doubled to 33,000. Mosseri is still healthy with 170,000.

Harman Second-Best Again

Stud:

Harman - (X) (X) / {a-Clubs} {10-Hearts} {j-Clubs} {9-Clubs} / (X)
South - (X) (X) / {4-Hearts} {k-Hearts} {4-Spades} {2-Diamonds} / (X)

Jen Harman may have liked her starting hand, but by the river Cole South liked his finishing hand. Harman completed third street, then re-raised after South made it two bets. South called that raise and also called on fourth street.

By fifth street, South had an open pair and the betting lead. He bet there, then check-called sixth street and seventh streets. At showdown he revealed {4-Clubs} {5-Hearts} {6-Hearts} for trip fours. They were good.

No More Negreanu

Razz:

Just before the break, Daniel Negreanu was crippled in a hand of razz against Eli Elezra. Negreanu was the bring-in with a 10. Action folded around to last-to-act Elezra, who completed a 5. Negreanu decided to play, a bad idea after Elezra made a 7-6 in five. Elezra then extracted extra bets out of the drawing-nearly-dead Negreanu on sixth and seventh streets.

Stud:

That hand left Negreanu with 8,400 chips. On the first hand after the break, playing Stud, Negreanu caught the bring-in with the {2-Hearts}. Action again folded to Elezra, who completed the {q-Spades}. They got it all in, with Negreanu's {2-Spades} {j-Clubs} / {2-Hearts} behind Elezra's {7-Clubs} {7-Spades} / {q-Spades}. Elezra made aces up by sixth street, leaving Negreanu drawing to two outs at the river. He squeezed hard and knew he had either the {2-Clubs} or {3-Clubs}. Whenhe flipped it, it was the {3-Clubs}, a brick. Negreanu is out.

Raymer Fossilized

After a day where he couldn't build much momentum, Greg Raymer was eliminated by Ted Forrest. He has yet to stand up from the table, however and continues to chat with Amnon Filippi while the rest of the table continues their tournament.

Mosseri Wins Four-Way Monster

Abe Mosseri
Abe Mosseri

Stud

Noah Boeken (X)(X) / {2-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts} / (X)
Abe Mosseri (X)(X) / {6-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{3-Hearts} / (X)
Phil Ivey (X)(X) / {J-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{9-Hearts}
Eli Elezra (X)(X) / {K-Spades}{A-Hearts}{10-Clubs}

After the betting was capped four ways on third street, Boeken led out on fourth with an open pair of deuces. Mosseri, Ivey, and Elezra all called. Boekeh led again on fifth street, Mosseri raised, Ivey and Elezra folded and Boeken called. They went heads-up to sixth street where Boeken check-called a bet from Mosseri. Boeken check-called again on the river, Mosseri turning up {6-Hearts}{6-Spades}{K-Clubs} for rolled-up sixes. Boeken couldn't beat it, and Mosseri raked in the massive pot.

Mosseri is up to 255,000 while Boeken slipped to 215,000.
