It Takes A Straight-Flush To Eliminate The Prince

Scotty Nguyen, all out baby

Stud:

Scotty Nguyen fans will be disappointed to learn that the Prince has been eliminated from the tournament. Nguyen was short for most of the day but just couldn't find that double up to get himself back into contention.

With Scotty all in on third street, Abe Mosseri and Doyle Brunson decided to check the action all the way to the river where Mosseri chirped, "Ok, I guess I'll bet..." which saw Brunson out of the way.

Nguyen: (X-X) {A-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} (X)
Mosseri: (X-X) {7-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{5-Spades} (X)
Brunson: (X-X) {2-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{J-Spades}{10-Hearts} (X)

Brunson didn't have to imagine what Mosseri was betting into a dry side pot with, as Mosseri quickly revealed {8-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds} in the hole for a jack-high straight flush; far too good for Nguyen who was sent to the rail.

Mosseri has made a tremendous run following the dinner break and now sits with over 600,000 chips.
