Defending champion Jason Mercier's day has been up and down thus far, but he recently took a pot down against John "Tex" Barch to jump back up to 33,000 chips.
Steve "pikappraider" Burkholder is still alive as well with 27,000 chips.
In what was like a machine-gun effect of exits (it's amazing how the play changes when the bubble bursts), Eddylee Martin, Andrey Danilyuk, Sampsa Leskinen, Andreas Eiler, Zachary Davis and Nicholas Katovsky all hit the deck in quick succession. 71 remain.

Michael Keiner has doubled through, his
out-gunning the 
of Klinghammer Thibaut (I warn you now, I will be writing the title 'Dropping the Hammer' for his exit hand) on an ensuing 
board. As a result, Keiner climbs to 31,500, whilst Thibaut slips a rung or two to 52,000.
Usually once the bubble bursts in any tournament the eliminations begin to increase.
Robert Williamson III, Chad Cox and Victor Trostyanskiy have already hit the rail since the bubble burst.
