Rocco Turns It Around

Jon Turner completed before Michael Rocco put in a raise. Turner made the call and then again for the last 600 of Rocco's chips on fourth street. The boards ran out:

Turner: ({K-Hearts}{8-Hearts}) / {K-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{7-Clubs} / ({2-Diamonds})
Rocco: ({Q-Diamonds}{8-Spades}) / {8-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{6-Clubs} / ({A-Spades})

Turner started out with split kings and had a ton of outs on the river to win the pot but Rocco's two pair held to take it down and double to 28,000. Turner slips to 51,000.

Owais-t of Chips for Seiver

Scott Seiver: {q-Spades}{6-Hearts}(X) / {q-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{7-Spades}{6-Spades}
Owais Ahmed: {2-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} / {3-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{a-Spades}

Scott Seiver bet on streets three through five, and Owais Ahmed called all the way. Ahmed was first to act on sixth and he checked; Seiver checked behind.

Ahmed check-called on seventh street and turned over a six-high straight. Seiver could only boast two pair, and the former chip leader dropped again to just 23,000 - only a few players are now shorter than he is. Ahmed meanwhile increased his stack to a rather healthier 61,000.

Lewis Down & Out

Said Elsanafiri: {10-Clubs}{j-Clubs} / {q-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{6-Hearts} / {q-Clubs}
Barbara Lewis: {2-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} / {8-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{9-Spades} / {k-Clubs}

Barbara Lewis got her last 1,600 in on third street and her pair of eights stayed ahead all the way up until seventh street, when Said Elsanafiri's final down card gave him a pair of queens.

Elsanafiri claimed Lewis' tournament scalp and moved up to 70,000.

Sorel Mizzi

Hani Awad was all in for his last chips in fourth street with Sorel Mizzi making the call.

Mizzi: ({K-Hearts}{K-Spades}) / {5-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} / ({5-Spades})

Rocco Busto

Michael Rocco was all in on third street for his last chips against Scott Seiver and Eric Friedman in a re-raised pot. The two live players checked fourth street before Friedman bet fifth to force a fold from Seiver.

Seiver: (XX) / {4-Clubs}{9-Spades}{A-Diamonds}
Rocco: ({A-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}) / {6-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}
Friedman: ({Q-Clubs}{Q-Spades}{Q-Hearts}) / {8-Diamonds}{K-Spades}{8-Spades}{9-Diamonds}

Rocco made a decent set of sixes but Friedman rivered a full house to take it down and eliminate Rocco from the tournament. Friedman moves up to 80,000.

Klaus-Stohner Goes Up in Smoke

Christine Pietsch: (XX) / {a-Hearts}{2-Clubs} - fold
Sorel Mizzi: {4-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{8-Hearts} / {4-Spades}{a-Spades}{3-Clubs}{10-}
Peter Klaus-Stoner: {j-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} / {9-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{6-}

Christine Pietsch completed and both Sorel Mizzi and Peter Klaus-Stohner both called.

Mizzi was first to act on fourth street and he bet out. Klaus-Stohner raised, Pietsch got out of their way and Mizzi made the call.

Mizzi bet out again on sixth, and this time Klaus-Stohner's raise was all in for 5,200. Mizzi called, and his two pair was good against Klaus-Stohner's pair of jacks to send the latter to the rail.

Mizzi now looks to be our chip leader on 260,000.
