Emrich Is Out

Lisa Emrich raised all in for 60,000 from UTG+1, and the table folded around to Holly Hodge who called from the small blind. The BB folded, and Hodge showed {A-Spades}{J-Spades}. Emrich turned over her {A-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}.

The community cards came {10-Spades}{6-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{8-Spades}{3-Spades}, and Hodge's hand was best. Emrich is out in 22nd place ($5,805).

Hodge now has 320,000, good for a top five stack at the moment.

Haas Hits the Rail

Joanne Haas
Joanne Haas

Down to approximately 50,000, Joanne Haas was all in before the flop with {J-Clubs}{J-Spades} and hoping to outlast Lisa Teebagy's {A-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}.

The flop was fine for Haas -- {Q-Spades}{7-Hearts}{4-Spades}. But the {A-Hearts} on the turn put Teebagy in the lead, and left Haas looking for one of two outs. Neither came, as the {8-Spades} fell on the river.

Haas is out ($5,805), while Teebagy now has 125,000.

Chatwin Out of Chips

Amber Chatwin raised all in to 62,000 from the cutoff, and Fatima Gaonach called from the small blind.

Chatwin tabled {K-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}, and Gaonach {J-Clubs}{10-Clubs}. The board came {9-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{A-Diamonds}, and Gaonach won with two pair. Chatwin is out in 20th place ($5,805).

Gaonach now has 135,000. One more elimination, and we'll be redrawing for the final two tables.

Kimura KO'ed, 18 Remain

With about 45,000 in the middle and the board showing {6-Clubs}{A-Clubs}{8-Spades}, Kima Kimura pushed all in and got called by Timmi Derosa. Kimura didn't have an ace in her hand, but Derosa did -- {A-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}. And after the turn and river -- {A-Hearts}{A-Spades} -- Derosa had made quads, and moved up over 200,000.

Kimura is out in 19th place ($5,805). They are now redrawing for the final two tables.

Ruth Hall Eliminated in 18th Place ($7,057)

Ruth Hall - 18th place
Ruth Hall - 18th place

Fatima Gaonach opened with a push all in for approximately 120,000, and it folded to Ruth Hall who went deep into the tank before making the call with her last 46,000 chips. The others folded, and it was Hall's {A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts} versus Gaonach's {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs}.

The flop came {K-Spades}{K-Hearts}{3-Hearts}, giving Gaonach trips but giving Hall hopes for a heart flush. But the turn was the {5-Spades} and the river the {A-Diamonds}, and Hall is out in 18th place.

Gaonach has about 200,000 at present.

Big Double for Sengphet Through Boesen

We had a big exchange of chips over on Table 371 just now.

La Sengphet opened for 23,000 from early position, then chip leader Sidsel Boesen reraised to 55,000 from middle position. It folded back around to Sengphet who shoved her remaining stack of 180,000. Boesen didn't act immediately, but didn't take too long, either, to make the call.

Sengphet {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}
Boesen {A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}

After leading the tourney for much of these first two days, Sengphet was suddenly in danger of a quick elimination here still some distance from the final table.

But the flop was good for Sengphet -- {A-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}. The turn brought the {4-Hearts} and the river the {7-Hearts}, and Sengphet doubled all of the way back to close to the chip lead with more than 400,000. Boesen slips, but is still in front with 429,000.
