Big Moment for Naujoks

Sandra Naujoks
Sandra Naujoks

On a flop of {K-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{A-Clubs}, and about 5,000 in the pot, Justin Gardenhire bet 4,000 and was reraised the pot by Sandra Naujoks, for a total of 23,200. All other players in the hand folded back to Gardenhire and he contemplated making the call.

"How much do you have behind?" asked Gardenhire. It turned out to be only 2,400, so he then announced, "All in." Of course Naujoks called and the two turned over their hands:

Gardenhire: {Q-Hearts}{6-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{A-Spades}
Naujoks: {5-Spades}{3-Hearts}{A-Hearts}{K-Spades}

Naujoks was in great position to double up with top two pair and the nut flush redraw. The {4-Spades} on the turn changed nothing and all Naujoks had to do was avoid a six on the river to double up.

The dealer burned and revealed the {5-Clubs} on the river. Naujoks took down the pot and got a much needed double up to around 64,000.
