Triple Up for Engels

Jorge Engels was down to just 100,000 -- in the form of four green 25,000 chips -- when the big blind (now 40,000) reached him. Stephane Tayar called from the button, and Trevor Pope called also from the small blind. Engels tossed his remaining chips into the middle, Tayar called the raise, then Pope pushed all in from the BB. Tayar got out, and the cards were tabled.

Pope {J-Spades}{J-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}
Engels {A-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{8-Spades}

The board ran out {A-Spades}{K-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{A-Clubs}{8-Hearts}, meaning Engels ended with a full house. He'd tripled to 300,000 on that one. Pope slips to 344,000. And Tayar has 310,000.
