Billy's A Grinner!

In a crazy pot that saw a three-way all in, we found the following hands tabled.

Billy Griner: {A-Spades}{A-Hearts}
John Bardwell: {A-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}
Lary Loose: {Q-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}

The flop of {2-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{Q-Spades} put Loose way out in the lead with his set, but it still left Bardwell a king to make a straight, and Griner an ace to take the lead or running cards for a straight.

The {3-Diamonds} on the turn changed little, but the miraculous {A-Clubs} on the river would see Griner more than double to 110,000, Bardwell hit the rail and Loose left crippled on just 16,000 in chips.

Connally KO'd By Quads

Steve Connally moved all in for his last 24,300 and was called by Anthony Pirone.

Connally: {K-Spades}{J-Hearts}
Pirone: {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}

The {Q-Clubs}{8-Spades}{9-Diamonds} flop kept Pirone squarely in the lead and leave Connally drawing to just a ten for a straight.

The {2-Hearts} on the turn changed little, and when the {Q-Spades} landed on the river to give Pirone quads, Connally made his way to the rail.

Jordison Doubles Hoffman

Angela Jordison opened to 5,400 from under the gun only to have Jedidiah Hoffman three-bet to 15,400 from the cutoff.

Jordison made the call before checking the {J-Clubs}{5-Spades}{2-Clubs} flop as Hoffman moved all in for 20,200. Jordison made the call and we were off to a showdown.

Jordison: {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds}
Hoffman: {K-Spades}{K-Diamonds}

The turn and river landed the {9-Hearts} and {4-Spades} to see Hoffman double through to 86,000 as Jordison slips to just 74,000 in chips.

Goosen Busts Gross

Steve Gross
Steve Gross

Steve Gross opened the pot in early position and Steven Goosen re-popped it 3 times, according to his words. Gross called.

The flop ran out {j-}{10-}{3-} and gross check-raised all in a bet from Goosen. Goosen called.

Goosen tabled pocket jacks and Gross {q-}{k-}, without help from the turn or the river, Gross is out of the tournament.

Goosen is now up to 205,000 chips.

Adams Runs Into Aces

James Giordano opened to 7,100 from under the gun and James Adams three-bet to 25,000 from the big blind.

With the action back on Giordano, he four-bet jammed for his remaining 62,400 as Adams double-fist-pump-snap called having Giordano covered by just 300.

Giordano: {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts}
Adams: {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds}

The board ran out {9-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{8-Spades} to see Giordano eliminated as Adams soars to 128,000 in chips.
