Whelan Doubles Through Sands, Vanho Vents

Kenneth Whelan open-shoved for 70,000, and it folded over to David Sands, who reshoved for 312,000. Kent Vanho in the big blind tanked up. He counted out the call and then sat there for a while. Then he folded.

So, heads up to showdown.

Whelan: {10-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}
Sands: {a-Clubs}{5-Spades}
Vanho: "F***!" - said he'd folded {a-}{k-}

Board: {4-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{10-Spades}{q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}

"Good fold," Andrew Ferris told Vanho as Whelan doubled up, but then he realized that Vanho would have taken the hefty side pot.

Whelan was at 150,000 after that, Sands down to 240,000.
