Bolotin Binks

David Benyamine opened to 650 from the hijack seat and Ryan Young flatted in the cutoff. Alex Bolotin moved all in for his remaining 2,000 chips from the small blind, Benyamine got out of the way and Young called.

Showdown
Bolotin: {a-Hearts}{9-Hearts}
Young: {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs}

Bolotin snatched the lead away from Young when the dealer flopped {9-Clubs}{7-Spades}{10-Diamonds}. The {k-Diamonds} on the turn gave Young extra outs to catch up, but the {5-Diamonds} bricked on the river and Bolotin doubled to 4,900 chips.

Young is still comfortable with 32,000 to his name.

Ivey Doubles

Phil Ivey opened to 750 from the cutoff and Jordan "scarface_79" Smith moved all in from the big blind. Ivey called all in and the hands were turned over:

Showdown
Ivey: {k-Spades}{10-Spades}
Smith: {a-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}

The dealer burned a card, dealt three cards down and began to turn them over. The {a-Hearts} was the window card, but it was followed by the {10-Clubs} and the {10-Diamonds}.

The turn brought the {q-Hearts} and the river was the {7-Diamonds}, doubling Ivey to 10,200 chips. Smith is left with 18,000.

Deeb's Deuces Cracked

The flop read {5-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{2-Diamonds} when we arrived, and three players were in the hand. The first player to act - let us call him Player 1 - bet out 600, and the second player - he shall henceforth be known as Player 2 - called. Over to Freddy Deeb (or Player 3 if you prefer, but we know his name) on the button, who raised to 2,100. Player 1 folded pretty sharpish but Player 2 silently called. They saw a turn.

The turn was the {8-Clubs} and Player 2 checked. Deeb bet 3,500. Player 2 pushed his remaining 8,950 into the middle and Deeb called instantly.

Deeb: {2-Clubs}{2-Spades} for a set of deuces
Player 2: {7-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} for a variety of straight and flush draws

River: {k-Diamonds}

Player 2 shrugged in a what-can-you-do sort of way. It took Deeb a moment to register the flush, but once it had been announced he quietly paid up.

Deeb dropped to 10,500.

Raise or Call?

Wut?
Wut?

There was some confusion over at Phil Ivey's table here in the Pavilion Room.

Ivey was in the big blind and the action folded to a player in the small blind who dropped a purple T500 chip in front of him. Ivey asked the dealer if it was a raise and she responded, "Yes."

Ivey looked confused and folded.

After the hand, the table discussed the situation and came to an agreement that it should have been a call. Even the dealer admitted to her mistake.

After the dealer's confession, Ivey shot her the "Jennifer Tilly just checked behind with jacks-full against Patrik Antonius WTF" look.

Raghavan to the Rail

Level 5 : 100/200, 25 ante

Table 31 is situated right in front of us, and moments ago were heard Ravi Raghavan's headphones thud on the table. We jumped up to see what had happened and here's what we gathered.

After a {k-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{2-Spades} flop, Raghavan was all in and at risk against Jennifer Harman. Raghavan was well ahead with {a-Hearts}{10-Hearts} and Harman needed some help with a worse flush draw; {4-Hearts}{3-Hearts}.

The {2-Diamonds} on the turn was clean, but the {4-Diamonds} spiked on the river giving Harman a winning pair of fours.

Yes, Raghavan was upset when flipped his headphones off, but he quickly collected himself along with his Beats By Dre and sincerely wished the table good luck.

After the fortuitous river, Harman is up to 40,000 chips.

Eugene Katches

Eugene Katchalov raised to 450 in the cutoff and the gentleman in the big blind called. They saw a flop.

Flop: {3-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}

The big blind bet out 450 and Katchalov flat-called. They saw a turn.

Turn: {9-Spades}

Mr. Big Blind now bet out 1,150 - but Katchalov made it 3,600 to go. Mr. BB dwelled up for a long, long time. Eventually he folded and Katchalov was up to 23,000.

Horrible Turn

With the flop reading {2-Hearts}{2-Spades}{q-Hearts}, Scott Fischman led for 2,500. An opponent on the button moved all in and Fischman called.

Showdown
Fischman: {4-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}
Opponent: {a-Hearts}{a-Spades}

Fischman was well ahead until the {a-Clubs} turned giving his opponent aces-full. Fischman couldn't find the case deuce on the river and dropped to 31,000 chips.

Double For G Smith

Gavin Smith doubled through Ted Lawson right before the break.

The board read {j-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{10-Clubs} and Smith led out for 5,000. Lawson forced Smith all in, and he called off his remaining 3,600 chips.

Showdown
Smith: {k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}
Lawson: {q-}{q-}

Lawson didn't improve when the {a-Spades} rivered and Ole G Smith doubled to 22,000.
