Match 1: River Spike Double For Schmejkal

Ernst Schmejkal open-jammed for his last 1,560,000 from the button and was instantly called by Ayaz Mahmood from the big blind.

Schmejkal: {K-Diamonds}{7-Spades}
Mahmood: {A-Clubs}{8-Hearts}

The {Q-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{7-Clubs} flop kept Mahmood in the lead, and after the {5-Spades} landed on the turn, it seemed certin that the first match would go to Mahmood.

Unfortunately someone wanted the torture to continue as the {K-Spades} spiked on the river to see Schmejkal double through to 3,120,000 as Mahmood slipped back down to 4,560,000 in chips.
