Hellmuth Still The King For Now

Phil Hellmuth
Phil Hellmuth

Hold'em

After raising two hands in a row to win the blinds and antes uncontested in his favorite game of Hold'em, Phil Hellmuth tried to make it three in a row but was met with a three-bet from the small blind. Hellmuth made the call to go to a flop of {10-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{4-Spades}.

The small blind led out with a bet and Hellmuth made the call. The turn was the {K-Spades} and again the small blind fired a bet but this time Hellmuth raised it up. The small blind re-raised and Hellmuth's last chips went into the middle.

Hellmuth: {K-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}
Opponent: {Q-Spades}{Q-Clubs}

A nice catch on the turn for Hellmuth gave him the double up as the river bricked out. He's back up to 8,000.
