Razz Starts Wars

Razz

More confusion and more arguments from the table of spite, located directly in the middle of the blue section of the Amazon Room. They've been in the fireworks all day, and now the floor had to be called twice in this one hand of Razz.

On fourth street Maria Ho had the action showing {A-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} for a nine but the dealer was a little confused and directed the action to the {7-Spades}{Q-Spades} of Tim Marsters. Ho started tapping the table to point the dealer to her nine, however her two opponents thought she was tapping the table to check, and they quickly checked behind.

"Noooo!" exclaimed Ho. "I didn't check yet!"

The floor was called and amongst the confusion Ho was given her options back. She bet and Marsters was the lone caller.

Things went back to normal on fifth with Ho leading the better, before Marsters led on sixth.

On seventh, Marsters thought the action was on Ho and he said "You check?". Ho thought that Marsters himself had checked and she checked behind. Marsters then fired out a bet. Enter more confusion. The floor was again called and Marsters was allowed to bet, with Ho making the call.

Ho: ({2-}{8-}-X) / {A-}{9-}{J-}{9-}
Marsters: ({5-}{10-}{A-}) / {7-}{Q-}{5-}{J-}

Marsters could only make a jack-ten low, and we didn't catch Ho's last card but she didn't need it as she already had the best hand. Ho moves up to 15,000 with Marsters down to 4,200.

"Ok, I'm just going to stand at this table all evening," chuckled the tournament director.
