Dan Makowsky Eliminated in 11th Place ($18,021)

Daniel Makowsky - 11th place
Daniel Makowsky - 11th place

Hold'em

The end for Dan Makowsky was just as brutal as some of the hands that made him short to begin with. He raised pre-flop before David Baker three-bet from the small blind. Makowsky made it four bets and Baker called.

On a flop of {j-Clubs} {7-Spades} {2-Diamonds}, Baker led into Makowsky, then called Makowsky's all-in raise. Baker showed unimproved {a-Clubs} {10-Hearts} and was drawing thin against Makowsky's pocket queens, {q-Spades}{q-Hearts}. An {a-Diamonds} promptly spiked on the turn, causing an anguished Makowsky to immediately put his hands on top of his head, turn around, and took a few paces away from the table. The {2-Spades} on the river did not improve Makowsky. He's been eliminated in 11th place.

Baker now has about 450,000.
