The Not-Quite-Final Table

Our remaining nine players have bagged up their chips, and everyone's headed over to one of the peripheral featured tables over in the Red section of the Amazon Room. We'll play on for one more knockout to set the official final table, and then it's off to the races for the jewelry.

We'll be right back with the table draw and the chip counts to get things rolling.

Arthur Cobb Eliminated in 10th Place ($15,329)

Arthur Cobb - 10th place
Arthur Cobb - 10th place

Arthur Cobb was down under two big bets to start his final hand, and he was very quickly all in against Maxwell Troy.

Troy's board ran out {6-} {2-}/{5-} {9-} {5-} {2-}/{3-}, and he announced his ninety-six as he flipped his final card over. At that point, Cobb's board showed {A-} {5-}/{9-} {3-} {K-} {Q-}/(X), and he was going to need to need to pull a low card in order to stay alive. The {9-} he peeled was a pair, though, and a queen-low isn't going to get it done.

Unable to get there on his last shot, Arthur Cobb is out in 10th place.

Daniel Ospina Eliminated in 11th Place ($12,105)

Daniel Ospina - 11th place
Daniel Ospina - 11th place

Catching the action on fourth street with Daniel Ospina all in, we found Mikko Pispala firing out a bet with Chris Bjorin calling before Bjorin folded to a bet on sixth.

Ospina: {A-}{8-} / {9-}{6-}{3-}
Pispala: {5-}{2-} / {4-}{j-}{8-}
Bjorin: (X)(X) / {8-}{J-}{9-} (folded on fifth)

Ospina caught a {10-} as Pispala found a {4-}, only to catch a {6-} on seventh to improve.

With Ospina needing to find a seven, five or deuce to stay alive, he would be in a good chance when he sweated a three-sider. Unfortunately for him it would be the wrong three-side as it was an {8-} to see him hit the rail in 11th place for a $12,105 payday.

Scott Packer Eliminated in 12th Place ($12,105)

Scott Packer - 12th place
Scott Packer - 12th place

Scott Packer brought-in and found a complete from Frank Kassela and a raise from Dee Tiller. Packer committed his last 16,000 as Kassela called the raise.

Kassela fired out bets on fourth, fifth and sixth streets with Tiller calling him down until he folded on sixth.

Packer: (Ax}{2-} / {J-}{Q-}{3-}{3-}
Kassela: {10-}{2-} / {A-}{3-}{4-}{2-}

With Packer drawing dead, he still managed to improve with a {4-} on seventh as Kassela found a {9-} to also improve.

Packer made his way to the rail in 12th place for a $12,105 payday as Kassela climbs to 320,000 in chips.

Rutter v. Troy

Stuart Rutter completed the bring-in with a deuce up, and Maxwell Troy three-bet it with a six. Rutter called.

Rutter: (X)(X)/{2-}{J-}{5-}{3-}/(X)
Troy: (X)(X)/{6-}{K-}{7-}{K-}/(X)

Rutter was betting the whole way, and Troy wasn't much of a believer. The calls were coming quickly, though the last one on seventh street was a bit reluctant. Rutter flipped up his {A-}{7-}{Q-}, and his seventy-five had Troy boardlocked.

Rutter is up over 300,000 now, while Troy falls back just under with 285,000.

Steve Diano Eliminated in 13th Place ($9,687)

Steven Diano - 13th place
Steven Diano - 13th place

Steve Diano completed for 8,000 only to have Jennifer Harman two-bet to 16,000.

Diano deliberated for a few moments before sliding in his last 24,000 with Harman making the call.

Diano: {6-}{4-} / {A-}
Harman: {6-}{4-} / {2-}

"Oh, I'm in the lead" stated Diano as he received a {Q-} and Harman a {A-}. Diano found a {5-} on fifth to put him in the game as Harman found a {J-}. Diano gained a {8-} on sixth as Harman bricked again with a {2-} as both player's board read as follows before seventh was dealt.

Diano: {6-}{4-} / {A-}{Q-}{5-}{8-}
Harman: {6-}{4-} / {2-}{A-}{J-}{2-}

Although seventh street is normally dealt face down, the dealer accidently dealt them face up to see Diano find a {k-} as Harman improved with an {8-} to make an eight-six-four to best Diano's eight-six-four.

With Diano being outdraw on seventh, he made his way to the rail in 13th place for a $9,687 payday as Harman climbs to 190,000 in chips.

Cobb Clipped

Arthur Cobb called the bring-in only to have Jennifer Harman complete for 8,000. Cobb made the call and proceeded to call Harman down on each street until both players checked seventh street.

Harman: (X)(X) / {6-}{A-}{K-}{10-} / (X)
Cobb: (X)(X) / {5-}{6-}{K-}{K-} / (X)

Harman tabled her {8-}{6-}{2-} hole cards for ten-six low and Cobb mucked his hand to slip to under 100,000 as Harman climbed to 170,000 in chips.

Packer Finds Some Chips

For the sake of setting the scene, Scott Packer earned a small double up two or three hands before this one:

Mikko Pispala completed with the {5-Spades} up, and Stuart Rutter and Scott Packer both called with the {7-Clubs} and {3-Spades} respectively.

Pispala: (X)(X)/{5-} {K-} {A-} {5-}/(X)
Rutter: (X)(X)/{7-} {A-} {7-} {10-}/(X)
Packer: (X)(X)/{3-} {9-} {2-Diamonds} {10-Clubs}/(X)

On fourth street, Rutter was the bettor, and both opponents called. Packer bet fifth street, and again on sixth, the last bet putting him all in for 14,000. When Pispala called that one, Rutter raised, and Pispala called. Both live players checked seventh street.

Rutter showed up {2-} {6-} {2-} to take the side pot with a ten-seven low. Packer was elated to table his {9-} {8-} {6-}, and that ninety-eight scores him a huge triple up to 120,000 after being nearly down to the felt just two hands ago.
