Lamb Takes Out Two at the Same Time

Barry Werthmann was all in pre-flop. Marcelo Costa moved all in after a flop of {5-Spades} {6-Clubs} {5-Clubs}. Ben Lamb was there to take on both of them. He tabled {a-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{k-Clubs}, the nut flush draw and the nut low draw. Costa showed aces, {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{4-Hearts}, while Werthmann didn't have much of anything. Lamb hit his flush on the {9-Clubs} turn and sent both players out of the tournament on a river of {k-Diamonds}. He's up to 148,000.

Longfellow Doubles Through Taylor

Anders Taylor opened the pot with a raise from early position to 15,000. Action then folded a few spots over to Karen Longfellow and she reraised all in for 40,500. Taylor got a count and then made the call.

Taylor held the {A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} and Longfellow held the {A-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}.

The flop, turn and river ran out {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{6-Spades}{2-Hearts} and it was a complete scoop for Longfellow as she doubled to 90,000 even. Taylor dropped back to 86,000.

Coppens, Dunne Busto

For the short stacks now, the action is all pre-flop. Stephen Tanner opened to 12,000, then called after Kenneth Coppens moved all in. Coppens tabled {a-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{k-Spades}{2-Spades} to Tanner's {a-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{8-Spades}. Tanner made the nut flush and the only low on a board of {j-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{a-Clubs} to claim both halves of the pot and knock Coppens out of the tournament.

Joseph Dunne has also been eliminated.

Hellmuth's Non-Nut Flush Gets Him Quartered

The pot was limped four ways pre-flop, with Stephen Tanner, Phil Hellmuth, Ryan Karp and big blind Nathan Wiesner all in there. Action checked to Karp, whose bet of 13,000 on an all-club flop was called only by Hellmuth. Hellmuth potted 44,00 when the low came in on the {5-Clubs} turn. Karp then moved all in and Hellmuth called.

Hellmuth: {a-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{q-Spades}, the nut low and a 10-high flush
Karp: {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{2-Spades}, the nut low and the nut flush

Hellmuth was quartered after came {9-Spades}. He's down to 73,000, while Karp shoots up the counts to about 180,000.

You Got Gotz

Michael Colecchia raised from the hijack seat to 10,000 and then Igor Gotz reraised from the small blind to about 35,000. His raise was enough to put Colecchia all in. Colecchia made the call for all of his 30,000 chips or so and then hands were revealed.

Colecchia held the {A-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} and Gotz held the {A-Clubs}{A-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{4-Spades}.

The board ran out {K-Clubs}{7-Spades}{2-Hearts}{10-Spades}{7-Diamonds} and Gotz scooped the pot with aces and sevens to move to 145,000 in chips. Colecchia was eliminated on the hand.

Hellmuth Rivers a Chop

Phil Hellmuth and Kevin MacPhee got a little nutty on a flop of {10-Clubs}{8-Spades}{4-Spades}. Hellmuth had first action and led out for 11,000. MacPhee raised that bet to 49,000, then called all in for 81,000 total after Hellmuth shoved. Hellmuth turned over top pair and the nut low draw, {a-Hearts} {2-Diamonds} {7-Hearts} {10-Hearts}. MacPhee had a set of eights and a worse low draw, {a-Clubs} {5-Hearts} {8-Hearts} {8-Clubs}. The turn paired tens, {10-Diamonds}, to give Hellmuth a chance at a scoop. But he managed just half when the river came {3-Spades} to give him the low and MacPhee the high.

Hellmuth has 120,000.
