Murrey Makes His Exit

Gary Murrey and Arnaud Gailleurd got all the chips in the middle preflop. I was Murrey who was at risk, and his {q-Clubs}{q-Hearts} were trailing Gailleurd's {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}.

The flop brought no help to Murrey when it came down {7-Hearts}{a-Hearts}{k-Spades}. The turn and river did nothing for him either when they came down {5-Spades} and {4-Spades} respectively.

Gailleurd is sitting on 260,000 now.

Mattern Chipping Up

Michael Faterkowski opened to 6,100 from the hi-jack only to have Arnaud Mattern three-bet to 16,500 from the cutoff.

With the action back on Faterkowski, he moved all in for roughly 60,000 and Mattern made the call.

Faterkowski: {A-}{J-}
Mattern: {A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}

As described by Mattern - the board blanked out to see Faterkowski hit the rail as Mattern climbs to 160,000 in chips.

M & M Battle

Brett Michael had Ira Marcus covered when the money went in preflop.

Marcus: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}
Michael: {5-Clubs}{5-Hearts}

The flop came down {7-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{2-Spades} pairing Marcus' king. Then turn, {a-Clubs} gave him two pair. And the river was the {j-Spades}.

Marcus doubled to 40,000 while Michael slid to 155,000.

Nam Le opened to 6,600 from under the gun and found a caller in James Schaaf before Frank Rusnak made it 19,400 to go from the big blind.

Le moved all in for his last 35,000 as Schaaf mucked.

Le: {9-Spades}{9-Clubs}
Rusnak: {A-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}

The board ran out {7-Clubs}{k-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{4-Spades} to see Le hit the rail as Rusnak climbs to 150,000 in chips.

Quads for Swick

It was all in preflop in this hand between Mike Sowers and Michael Swick. Swick was in for his last 26,100.

Sowers: {9-Spades}{9-Clubs}
Swick: {7-Clubs}{7-Hearts}

The flop came down {2-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{7-Spades}, giving Swick a set. The turn brought the {8-Spades} and the river {7-Diamonds} gave Swick quads.

Swick doubled to 58,000 while Sowers is still sitting on a monster stack of 610,000.
