Scotty Nguyen raised it up from late position with Chris Ferguson defending his big blind with a call. They both checked the flop before things got crazy on the turn. A raising war broke out that saw the last of Ferguson's chips pushed into the middle.

Nguyen had a set and nut low draw as Ferguson would need help with his straight draw. The river was the and Nguyen scoops to eliminate Ferguson from the tournament. Nguyen is now back up to 170,000.
Joe Hachem got his last chips in the middle in a giant stud pot, and it didn't end so well for the beloved Aussie.

Hachem started the action with a bet on fourth street, when we picked up the hand, and Adams raised. Puchkov called all in, and Hachem flatted the extra bet. On fifth, Joe check-called, but he went back to betting on sixth. Adams called, and on seventh, Hachem moved all in for his last 2,500. Adams called with for aces up and an eight-six low. Hachem turned over , and couldn't beat anything. He stood up to leave, shaking everybody's hand.
And then the table remembered that Puchkov was all in too. He squeezed his hand out slowly, finally showing . "Two outs...got it!" Puchkov said. He took half of the main pot with his set of deuces, staying alive with 35,000. Dragging the rest of the giant pot, Brandon Adams is up to 255,000. "The Brandon Adams show everyone," deadpanned tablemate Todd Brunson.
Justin Smith raised under the gun with Daniel Alaei calling in the cutoff position and Al Barbieri coming along from the big blind.
They saw a flop of and Barbieri led out with a bet. Smith put in a raise, which forced a fold from Alaei, but Barbieri made the call. The turn was the and Barbieri fired out again. This time Smith just flat-called, and again on the river.
Barbieri opened for the rivered flush and took down the pot. Barbieri is at 150,000, while Smith down to 61,000.
Catching the action on fifth street, Brian Townsend led the betting with Erick Lindgren calling him all the way to a showdown.

Townsend showed trip eights as Lindgren mucked. Lindgren is down to 22,500 while Townsend now commands over 300,000 chips to be amongst the chip leaders.
Action folded to Steve Billirakis who raised from the cutoff with Scotty Nguyen calling on the button and Phil Galfond coming along in the big blind.
The flop landed and Galfond checked to Billirakis who fired a bet. Nguyen called as did Galfond.
The turn brought a repeat and again Galfond checked to Billirakis. He fired again and both opponents called.
The river was another and again Galfond checked and Billirakis bet. Nguyen called as Galfond got out of the way.
Billirakis opened for a full house which was good as Nguyen quietly mucked. Billirakis has a big chip lead now, with around 280,000 as the empire of the Prince of Poker is starting to fall. He's down to 85,000.

Keikoan completed, and Johnson called. Mosseri raised, and both players called the extra bet. On fourth, Keikoan bet out, and Johnson flatted again. Mosseri stuck in a raise, putting himself all in. Keikoan three-bet, and CrazyMarco called both bets, starting a side-pot with Matt. They checked it down after that, and Mosseri showed for trip queens to win the main pot and stay alive with 70,000. Johnson's didn't give him anything but a busted draw, and Keikoan took the small side pot with a pair of eights. Even with that small gift, Keikoan is down to 27,000. Johnson still has 150,000.
