2010 World Series of Poker
Omaha-8
Team PokerStars has two players fighting it out at the feature table. Ville Wahlbeck, a member of Team Finland, raised from middle position. Matt Glantz called from the small blind, and Team Australia Pro Joe Hachem came along from the big blind. The flop fell

, and action checked to Wahlbeck. He tossed in a bet, and only Glantz called. Both checked the

, and this time Glantz bet out. Wahlbeck took another look at his cards before tossing them into the muck. Glantz is sitting on 105,000 now, while Wahlbeck slipped the last level to 63,000. Hachem has been grinding the short-stack with 33,000.

Freddy Deeb: (X-X) /

When we arrived on sixth, Pantling bet, and Deeb called. Leonidas had already invested a quarter of his stack in the pot, but he decided not to call one more bet. Pantling and Deeb both checked on the end, and Pantling showed

. Deeb couldn't beat a seven-five and mucked, while Toto lamented his decision to fold. He would have caught a four and made number two to scoop a much-needed pot. Instead, Leonidas is down to 18l, Deeb has 85k, and Pantling is all the way up to 185k.

Catching the action on fourth street, James Mackey led the betting before Phil Galfond raised it up on fifth. Mackey made the call, and then check-called sixth street before checking again on the river. Galfond fired one more time and Mackey decided to give it up.

Mackey is now down to his last 15,000 as Galfond is looking strong with 100,000.
Ted Forrest was short stacked and all in on fourth street in razz against Phil Galfond. The boards ran out as follows:

Too many pairs for Forrest left him with a king as Galfond collected the pot with his nine. Forrest is busto and Galfond has 72,000.
Hold'em
Jean-Robert Bellande has been eliminated from the tournament after running his
into Bill Chen's pocket aces in hold'em. Before leaving the floor, he was spotted wandering from table to table to pay out each of his last longer bets.
Omaha-8
Toto Leonidas was all in for slightly more than the big blind on the button in a four-way pot. The flop fell

, and Andrew Pantling bet out from the small blind. The big blind raised, and the third player folded. XX called, then bet again on the[
turn. The big blind flatted this time, and he called one last bet after the
river. Pantling showed

for top set. The big blind sighed. "Have jacks?" Pantling asked. And the other player flashed his pocket jacks for the under-set. Pantling took the much more profitable side pot on his way up to 138,000. Leonidas waited until all the queens vs. jacks talk had ended to say, "You get the side pot," and table

, enough to take the main pot with Broadway. Leonidas quadrupled his stack, but he's still short with around 25,000.
There's currently some table talk about the various prop bets with Phil Ivey and how some players are offering 7-1 odds on Ivey winning another bracelet this year.
Abe Mosseri commented, "I won't bet against Ivey. The guy will probably go out and win the Main Event...he'll win poker."
Of course there's the other famous saying that came from Gus Hansen where he said that the object of poker was to see how long you can stop Phil Ivey getting all of the chips.
