Things Are Getting Harder

Christian Harder raised to 750 and Carter Gill called from the hijack. The cutoff then moved all in for 1,050 and both players called.

Both Harder and Gill checked the {A-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} flop and {6-Diamonds} turn. We didn't catch the river card but Harder checked, Gill bet and Harder folded, showing {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}. Gill showed {A-Hearts}{9-Hearts} which was good enough to beat the cutoff's {J-}{J-}.

Harder was down to 13,000 after the hand while Gill jumped up to 21,500.

Moneymaker Takes a Hit

With the board reading {9-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{6-Hearts} Chris Moneymaker check-called a 1,025-chip bet from the player in the cutoff seat.

The turn card was a {k-Hearts} and Moneymaker check-raised all in after his opponent fired a 3,000-chip bet. His opponent snapped called.

Showdown
Moneymaker: {k-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}
Opponent: {7-Hearts}{8-Hearts}

"That's a good hand.", said Moneymaker.

The river brought a {q-Hearts} to the felt and Moneymaker slipped to 15,000 chips.

Bye Bye Tilly

Jennifer Tilly
Jennifer Tilly

In one of the first hands after the dinner break, Jennifer Tilly moved all in in middle position and was called.

With about 6,000 chips on her stack, Tilly showed {k-}{q-}, and her opponent tabled aces. Without help from the board Jennifer Tilly is out of the tournament.
