Jaffee Off to Rocky Start

2-7 Triple Draw

Jared Jaffee was just involved in two big 2-7 Triple Draw hands. The first hand started off with a raise from Kirk Morrison in the cutoff with Jesse Martin calling from the button and Jared Jaffee calling from the big blind. Morrison drew two, Martin drew three and Jaffee drew one card.

Jaffee was first to act after the first draw and led out with a bet, getting called by both of his opponents. Jaffee stood pat, but Martin and Morrison each took two cards.

Jaffee led out with another bet with Morrison folding and Martin calling. Jaffee continued to stand pat, while Martin drew one last card. Jaffee checked on the last round of betting and called a bet from Martin.

Martin tabled {2-}{3-}{4-}{5-}{7-} for the nuts and Jaffee mucked, clearly upset with the way things went.

On the very next hand Morrison raised from the button with Jaffee calling from the small blind and Adam Spiegelberg calling from the big blind. Both Morrison and Jaffee drew two cards and Spiegelberg drew one.

Action was checked around with Morrison and Jaffee again drawing two cards and Spiegelberg drawing one. When Jaffee bet after the second draw, he got a call from Spiegelberg but Morrison folded. Each player drew one card before the last round of betting.

The final bet came from Jaffee with Spiegelberg simply calling. Spiegelberg tabled {3-}{5-}{6-}{7-}{8-} and Jaffee mucked.
