After eight hours of play, allegations of marked cards, suckouts on the river and debates over floor rulings, we've reached the end of play for the evening.
Only 192 players of our original 453 will return for play tomorrow. Leading the pack are Jared Jaffe (71,125), Suk Min Sung (67,900) and Justin Smith (658,225). However, it was a talent-heavy pool of players and it's not going to be easy for any one of them to reach the final table. Heavy hitters such as Daniel Negreanu, Mike Matusow, Jennifer Harman, Alex Kravchenko, Michael Mizrachi, Bill Chen, Justin Bonomo, Chris Ferguson and Andrew Robl are also in the mix and waiting to make a move for the lead.
Due to tomorrow's Tournament of Champions, Day 2 has been moved back to 4:10 PM local time. The plan is to play another nine levels before returning on Monday to settle things for good.

David Steicke just crushed Ylon Schwartz and one other player in one hand. There was plenty of preflop betting and raising with each player sticking in four bets apiece. A couple of bets then went in on the flop of

and Schwartz angrily tossed over the 
for a flopped set, being outdrawn on the turn after he spiked the flop. The third player in the hand was all in and held just 
for ace high by the times the board was run out. He was eliminated while Schwartz was knocked back to 10,700. Steicke moved up to about 28,000 in chips.

We got to this hand to see Jason Mercier three-betting to 1,800 with Valdemar Kwaysser making the call.
Mercier bet 1,200 into a flop of 
with Kwaysser making the call. The turn was 
and Mercier went all in for 1,200 with Kwaysser calling once again.

leaving low hands out of the picture. Mercier's two pair were good for the high and he has doubled to 9,700 with Kwaysser slipping to 8,300.

On Greg Raymer's last hand he got it all in after a completion and a raise on third street. On fourth street Player 3 made a big bet with his exposed pair of tens and got a call from Mizrachi.
Mizrachi and Player 3 checked fifth street with Mizrachi calling a bet on sixth street. On seventh street action was checked to Mizrachi and he led out for a bet, getting a call from his opponent.
Mizrachi showed his cards and having reached a full house on the river bested both Raymer and Player 3. He's now got plenty more chips to help him in his attempt to win back-to-back mixed game events.
With the turn of the clock, we're onto the last level of the night. Sixty more minutes and then it's all done for Day 1.
