Eskeland Doubles Through Jaffee

Pot-Limit Omaha

Jared Jaffee has provided another double up to a player at his table, this time for short-stacked Sigurd Eskeland.

Matthew Vengrin was under the gun when he raised to 19,000. Jaffee was next to act and raised pot, about 66,000, leaving 19,000 behind. Over in the big blind Jared Jaffee announced that he was making it 107,000 to go. Vengrin went wide-eyed before folding and Eskeland called.

Eskeland: {6-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}
Jaffee: {4-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{a-Spades}

The flop came {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} givning Eskeland a straight-draw, but little else in the way of help. The {k-Clubs} on the turn paired Eskeland's king, but Jaffee's aces were still good. But when river came down {8-Diamonds}, Eskeland made his straight, doubled out, and yelled "Booom! I love this game!"

At times like this we bet he does.
