Yakovenko's Kicker Wins

Omaha-8

From under the gun, Steve Sung raised. Nikolai Yakovenko called from the button and the two saw a flop of {A-Clubs}{K-Spades}{9-Diamonds}. Sung bet and Yakovenko made the call.

The turn brought the {K-Diamonds} and both players checked before the {5-Hearts} landed on the river. Both players checked again.

Sung tabled the {A-Spades}{6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} and Yakovenko the {A-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{6-Spades}. Yakovenko won the hand with aces and kings using an eight kicker.
